I have tested several USB-C microphone adapters with the DJI Action 5 camera, and this adapter is my preferred pick. My main requirement was that the adapter supports STEREO (many adapters mix stereo microphone signals to mono). A secondary requirement was that the adapter has a 3.5mm male plug that can plug directly into the mike (versus a female 3.5mm plug that requires an additional 3.5mm male to male cable). The mikes I used were the ZENIKO OC-D1, Comica Traxshot and the Comica Traxshot Pro - all of them have a 3.5mm female plug for audio output but the Traxshot Pro also supports USB-C audio output - no adapter needed !.Adapters tested:DJI Mic adapter (ASIN: B0C783X6CD): Adapter works but it is expensive and bulky (could potentially get knocked out of the action camera and get lost). Recorded audio is not as loud (the adapter is meant to be used in loud environments) and you might have to increase the gain in the camera settings which will increase the noise floor.BOYA by-K2: [This item] Meets all requirements. Left/right channel layout is correct.Comica 3.5mm TRS to USB-C (ASIN: B0C8MBNG4G): Mono only.-------Summary: If you have a mike with a female 3.5mm plug, buy this adapter. If it has a male 3.5mm plug, buy the Saramonic SR-C2003. Both adapters will give you good audio on a DJI Action 5.-------

This is the third cord I've tried, and I went into it skeptical. I needed it to connect my dji action 3 camera to my dji mic mini wireless mic setup.. This cord works great, audio comes thru loud and clear, and is the perfect length for my camera cold shoe mount to the usb c on the side!

Works as intended. Not a super high quality wire but there is no interference that I've encountered

PROS:1. Durable2. good sound quality over Bluetooth technology3. Very fast delivery (reached literally 10 hours after i ordered).CONS:1. Expensive compared to other products, however this one looks more durable my last Aux port lasted only two month2. It is too short!!! this is the biggest flaw of the product. You can't use your phone because the cable is just 2 inch. If you don't need to be mobile while using the cable, then this is good.A 4 star rating because it delivered very fast and the material looks good. I'd not buy this again, however, because it is expensive (it should be under $7) and the length of cable is short.

No matter what you saw online. Please. Please. Please….. DO NOT buy this for a DJI Osmo Action 3. I have now tried 2 different cables and variations of these cables and nothing. I repeat nothing will work.I warned you..lol

Dongles like this are ONE WAY. You either need mic to recorder or recorder to speaker. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE DIRECTION YOU NEED. This unit delivers mic input to a recording device (my Sennheiser lav to my PC). Excellent. Sound is perfect, connection is super tight (make SURE you plug everything together ALL THE WAY). Simple but life saving device!! Highly recommend.

Worked perfect in hooking up wireless lab mics to my DJI action cam 4.

For whatever reason, this does not work on the DJI Action 3 camera. Regardless of which external TRS mic you use. Hope this helps whoever is looking for the right adapter.
