Explore Your Music Collection In New Sound!
I've been playing music ever since those kindergarten recorder lessons in music class ha. Hopefully to lend some weight to my review, I've been playing electric guitar for 14 years on a Gibson SG and and Fender Stratocaster on various amps, and have been into electronic music composing for about another 10 years. I record my own music and work in Ableton a lot.Portable music sound quality has always been something important to me ever since I first started listening to tapes on my Sony Walkman.Since then, I've owned dozens of pairs of earphones and headphones: Sony, Samsung, AKG, AudioTechnica, Beats (they were a gift), VModa, Soundpeats, Bose, and I have one Yamaha receiver + Energy speakers surround sound system, and one Yamaha + Monoprice surround sound system. I buy so much gear I kind of have to budget at times, so my studio isn't packed with Sennheiser, Bang & Olufsen, or Beyerdynamic stuff yet.I actually bought these in an airport because my headphone jack is messed up, and I really wanted to work in Ableton using my iPad with Touchable as a MIDI controller. I took a test drive, followed by an non-stop 8 hour listening session, and another one as I write this review to Soul Coughing, lol.Let's get started:Sound: Extremely worth the price. Fender is a name known for their amazing quality of guitars and amps so I was expecting quality work. Definitely found it. I tested overall highs, lows and synth sounds with tracks by Marshmello, instruments with Soulwax - Teachers, and Joy Division - Disorder. I feel this is as close as possible as listening to the original recording in the studio for this price range. I tested distortion with songs by the Clash, Mastodon, As I Lay Dying, electronic stuff with New Order, and acoustic stuff with the Mountain Goats. These earphones capture the unique characteristics of the instruments used in songs so well that you think things like "Whoa that really IS the 1966 Fender Telecaster sound," or you get blown away by the classic Gibson guitar and Marshall amp combination in fantastic quality sound. These also seem to bring out the warmth and feeling of proximity to the artist in songs recorded by various artists using simple gear in small rooms. As you can see, I basically started re-listening to my entire music collection because of these earphones, lol. Highs, mids, and lows are clear and well balanced. Piano chords ring, you can audibly tell which notes compose guitar chords because the sound is captured so well without distorting or clipping at higher volumes. You won't find yourself messing around with EQs to make your earphones sound better unless you're a pretty picky person. Occasionally, depending on my environment, the bluetooth signal clips/stutters a little. It happens sometimes at home, but not when I'm traveling.Appearance: These stand out without being too flashy. The overall appearance makes reminds me of the wiring in my amp, and one earbud is red, and one is blue. The battery hangs below one earbud, and the controls hang below another, symmetrically. Not as minimalistic as airpods, but you're getting a way better sound than them ha. Also, an earbud isn't going to slip out and roll away or whatever. They have an external "cool factor" that isn't trying hard to be edgy.Fit & Ergonomics: They come with black foam earbuds and clear ones. The clear ones stay in best for me and there are built in retainers that you twist and lock in the incisura intertragica of your ear. There's no magnet in the earbuds that will clip them together, so that's a minor drag. Separate buttons for Next/Previous are minimized through a short/long press system which is nice. Weight is not noticeable, but my Soundpeats Q30 are lighter (though the sound quality isn't as good as the Fenders).Overall: I'm floored by these and will live with these in my ears for a long time, lol. Every note is so crisp and defined, and you can hear every guitar note in a chord distinctly because there's no muddiness or muffling, or distortion. Hands down the best portable audio purchase in my life besides my first Walkman.Whether you love EDM, heavy metal, country, rap, UK grime, or pan flute, you're going to find amazing quality for the price. May you equip these and have an amazing sonic journey.

Very poor Bluetooth performance in otherwise very good product
Been in audio for 40 years, first as a performer, then in pro recording. Tried lots of gear, heard tons of hype, and know a great deal about audio. Bought this product as a means to listen to audio while exercising and operating a riding mower. Corded products are not optimal for either purpose, so Bluetooth was a key feature for me. This product comes from a well-known company, though its history is predominantly one of instrument and amplifier manufacture. PureSonic earbuds are not in the same class as in-ear monitors, but as earbuds' specs go they're pretty good. Good frequency response over the practical spectrum - as long as you keep the fit tight. Fairly lightweight. Ergonomically sound design both in the earbuds and the controls. Spent a few days trying these out and am very disappointed to report that their Bluetooth capability is extremely limited; it's not an over-statement to call it "hobbled." Using the same iPhone 7 Plus I can provide signals to eight other Bluetooth products out to 15+ feet with no problems. The PureSonic earbuds cut-out and fail at less than three feet. The signal breaks up if I hold the phone in my hand or in a pocket while walking. I have to keep the phone within 30" or so of the earbuds to maintain a connection. This renders the product unsuitable for my purposes, and it's going to be returned. It's a non-issue for most uses, but the battery and control unit are also too close to the earbuds themselves to permit me to wear ear-protection over the ear buds; the protectors' cushions press against those parts, which is both uncomfortable and degrades any noise isolation.

The headphones are okay, I guess...
I was hoping that Fender would lend their name to something that was of better quality. While, it's a lot cheaper than say Apple earbuds or even Bose, or Beats, I still had higher expectations from Fender. The sound is fine, but not great. The earbuds are uncomfortable and tend to fall out too often for my taste, but at least they are on a string so I don't have to hunt a single earbud down should a singular one fall off if I am running. That said, the wire / string that they are attached to is uncomfortable and the way you're supposed to wear the earbuds pulls on the earbuds itself and can yank them off your ears if you turn your head suddenly. When they are on, they also look goofy. Not much of a fashion statement. The wire gets kinked all the time no matter how much I try to straighten it out. However, it's a lot better than some of those $30 pairs. When this headphone breaks, I'll get something else.

Save yourself the time and money
DO NOT BUY. I never write reviews but wow these things should actually be criminal. Incredibly expensive for no discernible reason. Should be $15 at the absolute maximum. The sound is so hollow and weak that you won't even want to use them at all, and the comfort doesn't help either. You're honestly better off just buying a roll of duct tape, and tapping your phone/music device to your head. That would honestly be a better experience and would save you $70.Save yourself the time, save yourself the money, and DO NOT buy.

Good fidelity at a reasonable price
I travel half the month to my customer site. I wanted earbuds that weren't so cheap they gave me a headache but not so expensive I would be upset if they got lost on a trip. This was a balance for me. Passive noise cancelling which works so well that I have to take out a bud to hear much of anything. Turns out that active noise cancelling jacks up the price a LOT. The fidelity is really nice. The salesman at BNA (Nashville Airport) that recommended the product (at the same price Amazon sells it at BTW) enthusiastically recommended this before I even gave him my specs which was decent but not so expensive that I would be upset if they got lost. He was brilliant IMO. I also now use my buds for customer meetings and I'm told my voice is clear. That is important. I'm happy with my purchase.

Good sound, little bit choppy
The good:Very satisfied with the quality of the sound, definitely its selling point. Fan of the standardized charging port. The bad:Bluetooth connection is a little bit choppy. While the source device (ex. phone) is sitting still, the connection is normal. However when the source device is in motion (ex. in your pocket while walking) there are slight disruptions and cutoffs to the connection. Slightly irritating, but tolerable.

Excellent

A little disappointed.... but like the fit!
Sound quality is just as expected from Fender (fantastic). However, when the music source (iPod-cell phone etc is not laying totally flat & not moving around (ie: in a pocket or even in an arm band- the sound connection will cut in & out... kinda frustrating (&a little disappointed)when paying over $50 for what should be a superior product.
