been using a dw 4000 pedals for years and just upgraded to these. well worth the money, these pedals are so smooth and loads of adjustability. my double pedal skills have improved even after a day of using them, highly recommend.

Absolutely love this pedal. Its quick, it has lots of settings (could have an angle setting) and it looks epic! The only reason I have marked it down is that one of the beater tops popped off when I was playing it (third time I played it). I have glued it back on and its fine now. Its a bit of a design floor to be honest as the magnets that you can add to each beater to give the beaters more weight and therefore sound and attack are magnetised to the underside of the plate in the top of the beater. The sheer weight of the magnets and force from your foot pushes the magnets upwards into the top of the pedal causing the top plate to pop off. Hopefully the superglue I used will hold it in from now on. It may not actually happen on every pedal but its something to be aware of. Other than that it really is a superb semi-professional/professional pedal.

I've owned these for just over a year. There is already severe play in the u-joints of the shaft, and also in the bearing of the second beater on the main pedal. The second beater feels very loose and clunky when playing double bass...and I don't really play a lot of double bass either. This just reconfirms my decision to go with a more expensive, better built, pedal. You get what you pay for. This is not a bad pedal for someone just starting to learn double bass, but maybe not for someone wanting to hammer out 16th notes at 180bpm.

I REALLY want to love these pedals, but for some reason it seems like I can't get them dialed in just right. They are very smooth and I like the way they play, but the feel and return just seems off when I try to play fast double bass. I jump on other kits with cheaper kick pedals, and while they don't feel like they are as high of quality, they will play faster with much less effort. I'm going to have someone who knows a little more about dialing them in give it a shot, but honestly I've tried so many different settings I don't think it will help. I think these may be great for someone else, but I may have to try a different pedal if I can't get these lined out.

The best thing (and worst, depending on how savvy you are) about this pedal is that it offers so much adjust-ability. I read the review by Matthew Yukon before I bought it and it almost put me off buying this pedal (but the price at the time was too good, so I took the plunge), however, when I got the pedal I realized that the issue he was having was easily avoidable by simply adjusting the spacing with the provided drum tuning key. Out of the box, I agree with Matthew that it needs some adjusting. I confess it took me a bit of time to figure out how to adjust everything, so I took a week before I wrote this review, but now that I know my way around it, I think this pedal is brilliant, it just takes a bit of time and patience to dial everything in and it can be frustrating, but once you figure it out, you'll be very impressed with it and knowing that it is offers as much customization as it does.

As fast as I know, the drum pedals always come with a drum key but there was none with this double pedal which is necessary to adjust the nuts. That’s why I’m giving it a 4 stars, everything else works great for my E-drum set.
