Good product for certain projects.
Perfect for terrium. More of a brown moss then green. Also good ground cover for plants. Good aquarium substrate, but needs gravel to keep down, and four weeks of tank changes.Thank-you.

Healthy and lush
Came in nice and vibrant. Didn't find any pest after washing and submerging in distilled water a few times to clean. A couple small pieces of other species of moss as well which was pretty cool. Highly recommend.

Arrived dead
The moss was dead soon arrival. Not just dead. But dead, dead. No green at all.

Beautiful and lush
Bought this 4 years ago and planted outdoors in NYC yard. We have lots of shade from trees and plants where grass won't grow, but this moss has done so well! I was lazy when I first received the bag, and didn't do anything with it for a few weeks. It had turned brown and I thought it was dead. Planted it anyway by spreading clumps across the yard. Those little clumps looked pathetic, so I didn't have much hope for this working. Over the 4 years, it has spread. The moss is very beautiful and lush. Great texture and look to it. I've ordered more to cover other separated areas of the yard and to replace areas previously covered with mulch. This looks so much better than mulch and does a better job retaining soil and moisture.

Good Quality, Not Pest Free, 3rd Time Ordering
-I have ordered this 3 times now (5 bags total). I will continue to do so as needed.-First batch turned out the best. These were the steps that I took that I think really helped it and I'll be doing again with my latest batch (didnt do it with the second batch and it never greened up quite as nicely):1) I trimmed the BOTTOM of the clumps off--they came dark/dead which is normal when light cant reach the lower parts of the plant as it thickens with growth. I trimmed it all the way up to where it starts turning green again and before the clump thins too much and falls apart (it grows almost in stems).2) I soaked it with spring water for about a week and a half in a zip lock bag BEFORE adding to my project (make sure it has decent lighting, not direct sunlight though). I wouldn't worry about this if its going into an enclosed, humid environment like a terrarium. But if its gonna be on bonsai or exposed to open air, I'd soak it first. This step doubles as quarantining in case anyone's worried about hitchhikers. I'd do longer than 2 weeks for quarantining though.3) ONLY USE DISTILLED OR SPRING WATER ON THIS. Do not trust your tap water.-Honestly I would have done a 5 star if not for my latest order. Right on the new packaging it says "Pest Free" and I've found multiple ants on just the first clump. I normally wouldn't care all that much but some of it just went into a chameleon enclosure where I found the first ant and couldn't catch it before it disappeared into the substrate. Too small to eat, big enough to be a problem if its a biter. The second biggest problem is that the rest of this batch is going into my poison dart frog enclosure. Now I need to research to figure out A) what ant species it is to make sure B) it doesn't bite and C) it wont make my dart frogs toxic (wild dart frogs get their toxins from the ants they eat, which get it from the fungus the ants eat). More than likely not a problem ant but this could be a bit more than an inconvenience. Please, if you're gonna claim its pest free, take the steps to make ensure its actually pest free. Or just don't claim it is.

Worth every penny!
This is how much came straight out of the package. If I flatten it out it could take up double the space. There’s about an inch of soil under it in the pictures. Overall, looks healthy and would definitely buy from here again.

nice moss, but giant bug
I got this moss as a Christmas gift for my mom and was disappointed (and a bit freaked out) to find a two inch long pink bug with lots and lots of legs hanging out inside the bag when it came. The bug was alive and gave me quite a chase around before I managed to get rid of it. Aside from that, the moss is very nice and soft, and my mom will never need to know that I almost included a giant centipede in her present!

Beautifully green!
When it arrived it was in great shape, nice green color and moist. However, after only a few days it's now turning brown. I called the number provided and he was very friendly and willing to help out and gave me some pointers on care. Thanks for the help!!The first picture is the day I received it and the second was 3 days later. I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong. I'm misting it a few times a day. The gentleman did say that this miss does not like sun and I had it next to a grow light for some other plants... My bad. I moved it and will update this review in a week.
