Behrens 1205GS 3-Pack Galvanized Steel Utility Pail, 5-Quart, silver

I put one of these on my head when I ride my bike me my wife and son all ride together with them on. They must look very nice people keep looking and pointing at us. going to order some for my mom and sister and boss. hope he gives me a raise.

I love these buckets, so much better than the plastic fantastic's . They don't crack in the cold, the handles don't fall out, if you dent one you can just hammer it out and go back to carrying whatever you need to. I find the rough ugly ones last longer then the smooth pretty ones and they are inexpensive enough that when they wear/rust out you just replace it. While plastic bucket longevity is measured in months or may years, these typically last a decade or more.One down side, that thin wire handle can really dig in if carrying a full load in a larger size bucket. I bend down the one handle "hook" wire enough to slip two 4" electrical shrink tubes onto the wire one inside the other and shrink them into place. Instant handle cushion...it's not perfect but it's far better than naked wire. you'll need a big pair of pliers ( 9" linemans pliers work ) and be strong enough..it's a tough wire.Highly recommend.

I haven't a bucket in 30 years that is a REAL metal bucket. They are a perfect size for everything. Saving leech lines I save water in one from the dishwasher, it's a portable, and rinse everything in the clean left over water. Good for water conservation. They hold ten pints which fits my sink and my arm. Rinsing waste water and costs. I carry one with me for weeding, again never too heavy for this 72 yr old and then just dump in the garbage can. So easy. The third one is for the miscellaneous around the house, window washing, car washing, what ever my little heart desires. I only wonder where reasonably priced, strong but not to heavy or large pails have been. NO MORE PLASTIC. People this can really change how you are doing things.

So these are very sturdy and well made but the sealant and glue job is so sloppy. I had planned to use these for fruits and veggies in my pantry but they each had tons of dried glue at the base on the inside. I contacted the company and they said that even though it did seem excessive in my pictures that it was from the sealant and glue to make them watertight. They also said they do not recommend them to be used for food. I'll probably end up shipping them back to Amazon. Since now I'm even unsure about letting my kids use them for toys. Ugh!I'm also disappointed that they didn't offer to replace them.

I bought these buckets to display merchandise being offered for a local target shooting club silent auction - men would much prefer these over wicket baskets. Because it is galvanized metal they can drop their spent shells into them on the shooting range. Totally useful and the low profile allows the merchandise on display to be visible.So many uses I think I will use them from now on for all of my silent auction/raffle donations. I can think of many uses as well, besides for my own spent shells.On wish would be for an easy peel label.

The Behrens 8 qt galvanized steel pails I received are heavy, well, made, very strong- difficult to get them to deflect/flex in any way. The handles and handle mounts are surprisingly robust for small'ish pails- not a thin wire poked through a couple of haphazardly punched holes. I cannot imagine carrying anything in them that would exceed their design limits! Only ding, minor as it is- the galvanized coating is thick and perhaps a little sloppy here and there, but they're buckets! Most importantly, I found no gaps or missed spots in the coating on any of the five I purchased and it feels well bonded everywhere. Simple product, but well-executed. Very pleased.

The product description proclaims, "Our galvanized steel options are proudly Made in the USA". Presumably that's true. But the hot-dipped buckets like I ordered are made in Mexico. That's nowhere in the product information. It IS in the product photo if you look for it, but the product description only tells half the story.The bucket I received had a sharp projection on the rim, like a thorn. It scratched my arm when I removed it from the box. I understand that this kind of product will come with minor imperfections, and a minute with a file removed it, but I'm displeased when an imperfection hurts me.The two labels peeled off very easily and left no sticky residue.

I used the picture they pasted as a label to judge the size of these. It's a bit misleading. Makes them seem much bigger than they really are.

Amazon.ca fulfilled this order so the price was amazing! I have purchased about five different sizes of this brand of galvanized bucket. I am using them to house different fruits and vegetables in my kitchen. I love the look and display them in full view. The quality is superb and I will order more.

Purchased these to replace the pails in our smoke stands as the original pail inserts finally rusted out and had holes. These are prefect and well made. I expect them to last for a long time!

Bought these to collect BBQ coals while changing charcoal. They do the trick.

Only received one bucket not three like the description says
