I ordered this to use on my quick day hikes in the mountains near me and it really works well for me. This pack is a good lightweight option instead of lugging around my heavier backpack. The "Emerald" option I selected looked more teal on my screen but in real life, it is a true dark emerald color. There are many zippered storage areas for keys etc. The size is a good fit for me. I am petite, at 5'2" and a lot of backpacks hang too low on me but this one fits how I want it.My favorite thing on this pack is that the waist straps have larger zippered pockets than my current backpack. My Samsung phone fits, even with its bulky case. This allows me easy access to my phone rather than carrying it in my hand or having to take off my pack to retrieve it out of an inside pocket. I use the other pocket to carry snacks. The chest strap includes a small whistle. It's not as loud as larger emergency whistles but it works as intended.The other thing I really like is the large opening for filling the hydration pack that is easy to open and close. I have had some styles that were difficult to close after filling without spilling and this one makes the task of filling it much easier. The tube is covered with black material which is a nice look and probably provides additional insulation but I like to be able to see the tube when I am cleaning it to make sure I am cleaning it well. But I think it can be removed easily if desired.For this price point, this hydration backpack is a very good value.

I just tried this out for the first time for a family hike up in the mountains. It worked great. The bladder holds a lot of water and is easy to washout and dry afterwards because it has such a big opening. The back pack has a lot of room to carry other stuff as well. It has a separate pocket from the one that holds the water. I was able to fit snacks and even a change of shoes for my kids in there. It works great and I am happy to have it for our little adventures.

This is the first time I used a product like this, so it took me awhile to get up too long enough rides to where it really helped.The interior is insulated, and it stays cold at least for an hour or so which is the longest I ride. Quality seems really nice and I think it will last for a long time. No leakage after about 10 or so rides. It's obviously kind of heavy when it's full of water, but the unit itself doesn't add much weight.I would definitely recommend this if you live in a warmer climate like I do. This far exceeds the bringing along a water bottle or tumbler option.
