The pad offers an R-value of 7.0 for maximum year-round comfort thanks to thick thermal foam and StrataCore construction, which uses a continuous layer of thermal foam nestled between alternating ridges of air and foam (R-value measures the material’s ability to insulate; the higher the R-value, the warmer the sleeping pad). Perfect for car camping, expedition basecamps, RVs, and boats, it also makes an excellent guest bed at home. The stable mattress offers maximum stability, cushioning, and protection from rocks, roots, and uneven ground surfaces. Bought this based on reviews from many sites (most notably Gear Lab). It is surely something you're not going to backpack with, but for car camping, it truly is almost like sleeping on a regular bed. Used it camping across the country in a tent and never felt any rocks underneath me. Then I used it on the floor in a home (it really is good enough to have as a 'spare' mattress....lower than, say, an aero-bed, but just as comfortable). Deflates and rolls up fairly easily (you do need to roll it tight to get the air out). I am 6' tall and like that the MondoKing is long enough that I can fit length-wise and still have a full pillow at the top end without it falling off.
