Question 1

Is this gluten free?

Accepted Answer

Grill Mates Brown Sugar Bourbon Seasoning is formulated with a gluten ingredient, Malted Barley. McCormick® will always declare gluten ingredients on our label in the ingredients statement. Gluten is listed as "wheat", "barley", “rye”, “oats”, “spelt”, “triticale”, “kamut” or any protein containing part thereof and hybridized strains of these grains in our ingredient statements. If no ingredient statement appears on the product label, then the product is as it appears in the product name (e.g. black pepper). Gluten will never be hidden under the notations of "spices" or "natural flavors". We encourage you to read the ingredients statement on your package at the time of purchase to ensure accurate, up to date information. If any product has a Gluten Free claim, the product and the manufacturing line has been validated Gluten Free. ~ Erica

Question 4

Are the green flecks in this oregano? Is there oregano in this product? I need to know for allergy reasons. Thanks!

Accepted Answer

This is a critical, life-preservation question. It should NEVER be asked randomly from some knothole in the wilderness. NEVER. I didn't make the product, nor did I package it.
This is a question you should ONLY as the company making it. BUT, I will give you this bit of advice: For something as important as your safety and health, NEVER just spend a random minute or two on the internet out of being bored in the middle of the night.
ALWAY RESEARCH: Where the company is, and what are the correct phone numbers to call. THEN, call them and keep a pad of paper at hand. Write down WHO and WHEN you spoke to them. This will take time, because you are going to get a couple of layers of secretaries who are there to buffer calls. Keep going. Tell the next person you talk to the whole list, eventually the right person will understand how serious you take you life and health and you're not just some Karen who doesn't want to eat your greens. Good luck and always be diligent and proactive about your health and well being.
