Healthy and well balanced smoothies
The reviews are right about the chalky taste, but if you have a really good blender (I have a RAW) it can definitely reduce that issue quite a bit. I work out four times a week and only drink protein in the morning within my smoothie after fasting on workout days. My smoothie is usually full of fruit so it’s nice to add a plant-based protein with no other additives that I have to worry about. The best combo that I have come up with this one is 3 to 4 bananas 1 to 2 cups of milk, and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. Add ice and water to your liking and boom, all of a sudden it’s actually pretty yummy. Another decent combo is doing a cup of blueberries, three bananas, a cup of passionfruit, one cup of milk, and add ice and water to your liking. This one is not as good unless it is placed in the refrigerator for a little while first. If you do this combo in the mornings, allow it to be your only meal that breaks your fast given the amount of calories and protein. It is very fulfilling. You likely won’t even want anything else.

Soluble, low sodium, tastes as expected
I purchased the unflavored pea protein. My biggest praise is solubility. This dissolves much easier in water/milk compared to other pea proteins I've tried, i don't get any clumping at all even just mixing with a fork! It also has lower sodium than some alternative brands (be careful with pea protein) Of course the taste isn't great, its not meant to be. But it isn't awful either. I would confidently call it neutral. I would gladly take an unflavored over something with sugar any day. It's not supposed to be a treat. I cannot speak to its purity or quality or anything because I dont have the proper instruments to do so.

Very inexpensive plant based protein powder with lots of other nutrients. Great buy!
The Naked Pea protein power packs a whopping 76 2-scoop servings into a container, all of which is high quality pea protein, (just 1 clean ingredient) and loaded with other nutrients. This is the most affordable way to get a lot of protein for a low price. It is, as expected, fairly chalky, and it has no real discernable flavor. I make smoothies out of it, with 12oz unsweetened plant milk (usually almond milk), 1 Tbs of lemon juice, 1 Tbs chia seeds, 1 Tbs ground flax seed, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 scoop of the Naked Peanut Butter powder (a killer value, also with 76 servings, that has a great peanut flavor and has very low fat and no sugar, plus another 7gm of protein), some Allulose or other non caloric sweetener, 1 cup of frozen berries, and perhaps 3 or 4 ice cubes. It is pretty good, although still not as fruit forward as a regular fruit smoothie, which is why I add lemon juice for a little more zing. But dang, it makes a big smoothie that will fill you up and give you a ton of nutrients, some fiber, and a lot of protein, and actually tastes pleasant.

Clean protein, Sub par taste.
So, like many other reviews, the major consensus here is the taste. It's gross. It tastes like sweet peas but duh, that's all that's in there! Im a female who has been working out for over seven years and has consistently been buying ON brand whey protein. I've been doing my research as of late, regarding womens health and digestive health. I've been trying to stay away from soy and tried to be more conscious of what I'm putting in my body and how that affects my hormones. I've noticed a lot of whey brands including ON have a lot of additives that for one, I dont know what they are and two, there's soy in my protein! Soy is in a lot of major brands of whey protein as a solidifying agent. I decided I wanted to buy a protein that had minimal ingredients and ingredients I didnt have to research on google. That's how I found NAKED brand protein. After taking whey protein for so many years, I wanted to find a different alternative. This is my first time taking a plant protein. And after hours or researching and double checking for potential metal additives (look up clean label project) because I found plant proteins may actually have more metal due to runoff. NAKED brand protein checked off my list! Minimal ingredients that I can understand, passed third party inspection for metals, doesnt have soy (peas aren't soy based), and a great nonwhey alternative for my stomach. I was a little skeptical of purchasing because of the many reviews regarding taste but I figured I would have to find out for myself. I bought the NAKED Pea unflavored because it was low in sugar. Which in all honesty, it's an acquired taste. I make a shake in the morning with fruit (which the taste overpowers my shake) then I have it with almond milk after a workout. It literally taste like chalky sweet peas but I know it's a good dietary change for my body. I have only been taking it for two weeks along with my work outs but it definitely feels lighter on my stomach and helps me feel full. Overall, super clean protein. The only con is the taste if you can get past it. Also, I'm pretty sure the company doesnt do refunds if you dont like it. Hope this helps!

Effective and Affordable
Let's get this out of the way: the taste is nothing great. However, I think if you buy an unflavored pea protein powder, taste is probably not important. It's just neutral, not good or bad. It mixes easily, and you get a lot for the price. For me calorie count per gram of protein is important, and this is the lowest calorie per serving, plant-based protein I've been able to find. And 5 lbs lasts for quite a while, even at 2 servings or more a day. I've been using it for about 6 months, and my strength and size continue to improve in the gym. I will continue to use this protein unless they drastically increase the price.

Great basic, vegan protein powder
Sure this is a little chalky. It is protein powder. However, it blends well and all but disappears into a little soy milk and fruit. The unflavored version leaves no nasty, fake-sweetener aftertaste and the ingredients are simple and few. I will totally be purchasing this again.

Hard pass
I was optimistic with my purchase given the clean, simple ingredients. For me, the powder did not disolve at all with my coffee (hot). I had to mix everything in a Ninja so the powder would breakdown. The taste was disappointing, with the consistency/texture being very gritty.

My new favorite protein powder
Personally I prefer pea protein over whey. There is almost no taste to it. Paired with peanut butter powder makes a for nice healthy protein shake. Naked pea dissolves somewhat decently. Because one serving size is two big scoops, it can be a little grainy at times but for me its tolerable. Compared to whey, naked pea doesn't have that awful odor or taste that makes me want to vomit. It also doesn't cause me an upset stomach and it doesn't seem to cause terrible breakouts on my skin so thats a huge plus! Overall I highly recommend this product.

Excellent non dairy protein powder, easier on my stomach
I originally checked this out because whey protein was giving me bloating and a lot of mucus, and honestly this has been the best non-dairy protein source I’ve tried for the price. The nutrition is great, the ingredients are simple, and it works perfectly in smoothies. A lot of people complain about the taste, but I honestly think those people are expecting it to taste sweet like whey protein. This is unflavoured pea protein, so of course it has more of an earthy/neutral taste. I mix it into smoothies with spinach, bananas, peanut butter, or almond milk and I barely notice it. If you already make green smoothies or protein shakes, the flavour really isn’t a problem at all. What I like most is how easy it is on digestion. Whey always made me feel bloated, but this one sits way better in my stomach and doesn’t give me any issues after workouts. It’s also convenient because you can throw it into shakes, oatmeal, or recipes for extra protein without adding a bunch of artificial ingredients or sweetness. Mixing is best in a blender or smoothie. I probably wouldn’t drink it plain with water because it is a little chalky on its own, but blended with other ingredients it tastes completely fine. One small thing: the scoop sizing is a bit redundant since the serving says 2 scoops. I usually just do one large scoop because it ends up being about the same amount anyway. Overall, if you want a clean, affordable, non-whey protein powder that’s easy on the stomach and great for smoothies, I highly recommend this. Hope this helps.

Bought UNFLAVORED: Can't get past the chalkiness
Absolutely horrible taste. Tasting it on its own, it's a little salty / savory. It also has a somewhat pasty texture out of the container. When mixed in liquid, the chalky taste never goes away. You can add all kinds of flavors to mask the taste, but the chalkiness never goes away. Had 2 servings...sadly, ready to throw it out.
