I purchased this roaster for a graduation party. It worked good but if you cook on high heat, keep an eye on it. Runs very hot. Once the food was cooked, I kept it on the lowest temperature to keep the food hot. In all it is a good roaster.

I used this for two months. It was good. Then one week it started to smell. My mistake - i used it again, overnight for a large stew for 20 guests. In the morning, I woke up to smoke detectors and houes full of smoke. The dial that was set to 220 was obviously not working and it must've been burning at 500 degrees all night - and everything inside was charcoal. I read reviews now from the last couple months and I see others had same experience with the temperature control not working. Do not buy this, and definitely don't leave it unattended overnight.

This was my first time using a roaster oven and I must say I am very impressed!! It is very beginner friendly! I got the 18 quart and as you can see the size is very big!! It is very durable and can withstand high levels of heat for a long time with no problem! If you are thinking of trying out something like this I say give this one a try! I am so excited to cook the turkey for the family this year!

The heat caused pitting and paint peeling. I can't cook dinner for Christmas if paint chips will be in my food. Disappointed as I really wanted this to cook my Turkey for Christmas
