We’ve listened to our customers and are thrilled to bring you the Numzaan boot—crafted with the Jim Green touch for top quality, comfort, and formality on every occasion. Derived from the Zulu word “Numzaan,” meaning the head of a family or a leader, we proudly present the Numzaan boot as the distinguished “Chief” in our collection. Inspired by our Baobab boot, it projects a heritage feel and features our new Veg Tan leather, making it our most stylish boot to date.

Now that’s a boot!
So I’m already biased in favor of Jim Green boots. I have two pairs of rangers I wear for work and I love them. Bought these Numzaan size 10 on Amazons size recommendation. I’ve never worn a “heritage” boot. First impressions when I put them on was Lord what have I gotten into. Stiff. Tight across the bridge and toes. More narrow toe box than the rangers. Good fit in the heel. But the leather footbed reminded me of the Navy steel toe chukka boots I was issued in boot camp. Unforgiving beast of a boot. I ordered a pair in walnut 10.5 for comparison. Better fit across the bridge and toe but a little loose in the heel. And no room for an insert. Back and forth between trying on the two I noticed the 10s were already becoming more comfortable. Decided I’d go with those and wore them for the day and realized that leather footbed was not really uncomfortable even though it’ll take some getting used to. The frog sole is grippy. Provides a slightly spongey step akin to a christy sole. And the few times I’ve worn them I’ve noticed each time they are more comfortable and the footbed’s already taking the imprint of my foot. I was hesitant about the cost but the quality is unquestionable. Honestly they are an excellent example of true craftsmanship. As for the other pair I’m trying to talk myself out of keeping them. I mean they have room for a pair of winter socks for cooler weather.

Can't go wrong with these for my feet
This is my second pair, and for prime day they were an absolute steal. Double layered leather, with triple on the very large toe cap makes these beastly, with just a bit of class. These are heavy and you may or may not agree they are dressy enough for office work, but I think so.Finishing is very good, and I'll keep writing, outstanding for the price. Even regular price on these makes them a solid deal. The veg retan leather is very stiff and will take quite a bit of time to break in. I have 12 E feet and bought a size 12 pair of these when they first came out in January or 2024. The initial bend in the boot caused the back edge of the toe cap to dig into the top of my foot for a good couple months and it was quite uncomfortable. For the prime day sale I decided to try an 11.5. These fit me perfectly and had a much faster break-in. I have other Jim green boots in a size 12 that are a different last. Those are perfect in a size 12 for me. So maybe you could size down a 1/2 size for Numzaans, but everyone's foot is different. My size 12 Numzaans now feel great too, so it may just be an issue for break-in. I'll probably prefer the 12s when I wear thick socks.

The best boot and shoe company on the planet!
I have 6 other pairs of their boots and shoes so when these came out I had to buy them. The Numzan is the best of all 6 pairs. buy with confidence these boots are awesome. well crafted and sturdy as heck. they would make great work boots or kick around boots. The sole is cushy so it's great for walking all day on concrete.

Apocalypse boot.
I was searching for a boot that could do it all. Kick zombie ass, hike werewolf castles, and look handsome enough for dinner with the vampire overlords. This boot does it all. Break in has been pretty easy. Fairly stiff boot. Leather is beautiful in walnut. Fit and finish is impeccable. Construction is sturdy yet refined. The new frog grip sole is perfect in this material. Didn’t like the JG green lug sole. Absolutely love this boot. I wear an 11 in Bare foot African rangers and ordered 11 in numzaans. JG killed it with this one!

My favorite boots
So I have worn many many boots and shoes I have wide feet most of the time my brannock size is nowhere near the size that fits I end up going a half size or more up these are 100% true to brannock snug firm handshake everywhere but plenty of toe space. These boots are perfect need to be broken in but on first wear comfortble for me I wore them for 10 hrs at My factory job right out of box no issues they are already molding to my feet these are better than the other boot I was looking at and over 100$ cheaper sole is soft grippy and durable leather is very good fit is perfect for me

Great Effort
So, I bought this boot as a second pair to my Truman’s primarily for 50/50 office and field work. I LOVE the soft sole and we’re, comparatively, much easier to break in than other boots. I love the business model of Jim Green (I adore my Razorbacks after putting on a softer, lower profile tread) and think they are on a good path with these boots. I trusted the size guide and think it’s good, but probably could have went a half size smaller. My only issue is that the top layer of the vamp is separating from the the inner layer (keeping dis for full lining). I will glue this down and go from there. I wish I could add a traditional kilter/false tongue as that’s just my style. Overall, very pleased. Five stars if the leather wasn’t separating.

Seem like awesome boots but
Too big. I always take a size 13 and these are just too big for me so I had to send them back.
