This is what I was looking for. I have always wanted to be able to doctor my "regular" ramen to have the same taste/mouthfeel/strange satisfaction of the cup-o-noodles when you find pieces of vegetables and shrimp with the noodles in a perfect blend of more than just broth and noodles. I tried the Augason Farms Vegetable Medley Blend in the hopes it would do what I wanted, but it just wasn't right (makes a good vege soup base don't get me wrong, but wrong flavour for ramen). The seafood/vege mix here is perfect. It has the corn, peas, and carrots I expected, but it also had the bits of fishcake and shrimp that you can see what it is before you eat it. The taste is perfect for me. I used the Ichiban original flavour ramen as my base for the first experiment, and it was great.

Pretty good flavor, except the fish cakes… those never seem to get the flavor back.

Tasty and allows cook control amounts added to ramen noodles. I fell in love with fish cakes and bought a separate package of them to add to this combination.

3 stars because it’s really great but doesn’t quite me 4 or 5 stars- maybe 3.5. I got it yesterday and tried it a few times and the 2nd time around I was just curious at how much shrimp/ crawfish there was. With that being said, the small pieces fluff up decently for dried toppings but thre are barely any shrimp any my batch. I poured the bottle out in a large bowl (again, was curious) and found there was enough to fill my palm, barely. I am trying different ones so luckily I found a brand that is about 7oz and has egg, shrimp, squid and crab- no veggies. I feel it will be a perfect pairing with this. In the future I might get again (need to see how often I use it and how often I’ll refill) but I will get it knowing I would have to pair it with another brand to make it the way I like. In terms of value for the money, it’s okay. Again, not too sure if I would get it again and felt mine lacked the shrimp-at most I might get 1 in every 3 to 4 scoops but everything else is fine. I do love the smell of this product. The colors are bright and vibrant and definitely has improved my ramen. If you cook it for about 4 mins as instructed, it’s not bad but an extra min for me was better.

This is the 2nd time I’ve received this item. The first one was the 10oz jar. This one is the16oz I’m reviewing. My posted photos show all the needed info from the jar. My opinion of this item is very high. There are bits of shrimp, imitation crab as well as fish cake for the seafood. Very hard to find on Amazon with this much seafood and vegetables. Easy to use, just throw into any soup or noodles that would go well with this item. There is no prevalent smell as this item is dehydrated. But I feel the quality is very good. This item is somewhat spendy but 16oz go a long way when just throwing in a small scoop (tablespoon or so) into each meal.
