I am spending my first winter in an ComEd built apartment. We're talking 1970's, 550sq ft, 1Br large rooms for singles, in a quad, and duplicated all down your street sort of apartment! Anyhow, my wall thermostat reads "50 COMFORT ZONE 90" and I had no idea what actual temp meant 70° and what letter I needed to set the dial to! So I bought a digital thermometer with a humidity display, and propped it on top of the thermostat casing. (Figured out that between "C" and "O" was perfect) But with a large electric baseboard heater in the living room, bedroom and the kitchen, the air was dry. My dog refused to let me pet her cause of the shock she'd get from me. I mean I could weld with my finger tips! This humidifier saved my relationship with my dog! In one hour on medium setting (02) it has raised my humidity from 41 to 44. Huge difference already in the warmth of humidity, but also no more shocks when reaching for a light switch, or touching that oven handle or Boxweiler, or doorknob ... or someone else's hand? I could even send ET home! It's super quiet and I love the LED lights. Using essential oils in this is really all new to me, but I'm hooked! Three drops of Monkey Farts and my place smells like pineapples, citrus and bananas. I only wish extra felt pads were supplied in order to change our your scents instead of overlapping them. Perhaps I'll try to remember to grab a sheet of felt at the craft store next time I'm out. I use appx 2 gallons of distilled water in one week. I only run it anywhere between 2-6 hours daily while I'm winding down from work. I highly recommend this humidifier! So many good things about it!

Bought a portable rechargable humidifier until I got paid because of my pellet burner drying out 700 sq ft house out. This was my upgrade from that. I'm on night 1 of it and already loving this thing. The light keeps levels super easy to keep on a eye on for the tank. The misting options are convenient AND prevent condensation build-up. Frankly there's been none due to the design of the mist stream. Super quiet. It's been keep the whole house very comfortable. I doubt the hunidistat is accurate but this thing runs great. Very easy to clean. Rinsed with distilled vinegar before filling with distilled water. Will update if anything new develops but so far this was money well spent.

The key feature of thus Hunidifier over some others is it has a humidistat, which controls the humidity level and shuts off when the set level is reached and restarts when the humidity drops. It also has a large easy to fill and clean tank which I don't need to fill for serersal days at a time (your requirements may differ) I recommend this product for a medium sized room,

I ordered 2 of the humidifiers, which were practically noiseless and which provided the mist we wanted. Unfortunately, after about 5 weeks, one of them just stopped working. I contacted the company to see if they could help me troubleshoot, but apparently it was a problem they had not encountered before. They sent a replacement humidifer, which arrived within a few days. The original is still performing wonderfully, and the new one seems just fine. I am very pleased with the product and the way the problem was resolved.

I do like how this thing can put a lot of moisture in the air without leaving a wet mess in the immediate vicinity. The problem is it usually just doesn't work. I don't think the moisture meter ever worked. When I first got it, I'd set it to shut off at 55%, but the meter never got that high despite my apartment looking like Stephen King's The Mist. For thirty bucks, I wasn't too disappointed; I just shut it off when I felt there was enough humidity. Now, it just turns off whenever I turn it on. I only had it a couple weeks before these critical malfunctions began. It might run for half an hour, or it might only be a few seconds before it beeps and shuts down. The meter never goes above 40-50%, so I know that's not the issue. I've cleaned the whole unit multiple times but to no avail. If anything, cleaning it just gives me another round of headaches as it flashes the Empty Reservoir icon and refuses to turn on. Dumping a cup of filtered water into the bottom half of the unit (beneath the reservoir) seems to fix that, but I really shouldn't have to do that. Too bad I tossed the box immediately or I'd sent this garbage back.
