Nighthawk still rolling out great products
Easy to set up! Once we got all our Wifi information matched up everything reconnected almost flawlessly, but keep in mind you have to have the password and username the exact same as your old Nighthawk router and it won't mess anything up. It's noticably faster and the security they offer a free trial on will likely be worth the cost. The Internet has stayed stable, still covers the same distance our previous AC2600 did and although it's taller it fit just right. All in all happy with the purchase.

Excellent Speed, Coverage and Easy to Set Up
I’m very impressed with the NETGEAR Nighthawk RS300. Setup was straightforward using the Nighthawk app, and I had my network up and running quickly. The connection has been fast and stable, even with multiple devices connected at the same time. One of the biggest improvements I noticed was the Wi-Fi coverage. I’m getting a strong, consistent signal throughout my home, including areas where my previous router struggled. Streaming, video calls, and everyday internet use have all been smooth, with no noticeable buffering or connection drops. The Wi-Fi 7 capability is also a nice feature if you want a router that won’t feel outdated in a year or two. I especially like having the 2.5 Gig Ethernet ports for devices that benefit from a fast wired connection. The RS300 isn’t the cheapest router available, but the combination of speed, reliability, coverage, and newer technology makes it worth the investment. If you have a fast internet connection, several connected devices, or simply want to upgrade to Wi-Fi 7, the Nighthawk RS300 is an excellent choice. Highly recommended.

Quality router, fast enough for most household uses
It's easy to set up, whether via the web interface or the phone app. It's plenty fast, fast enough that WiFi is not the speed limit with our 500 Gbps Internet service. Readyshare works well, too, turning the router into a cheap and easy local file server.

“Easy Setup and Strong Performance”
“I’m using the RS300 as a second router to run a secured, separate network for my Casita, with the RS700 as my main home router. Setup was quick, both networks run smoothly without interference, and speeds stay strong. NETGEAR Armor adds good security, and the Nighthawk app makes everything easy to manage.” Updated Review: I added a photo of my RS300 Wi‑Fi 7 router. I’m running it as a fully independent router here in NE Phoenix, with its own WAN connection and its own subnet, completely separate from my RS700. This gives me two isolated networks — one for the house and one for our Casita rental — and both routers have been rock‑solid. I’ve used Netgear routers and switches for years with almost no downtime, and everything integrates well. I’m also adding Armor to both routers for extra protection. Very reliable setup. Netgear should update the RS‑series wall mount. These routers need more rear clearance for best Wi‑Fi performance. The included mount places the router too close to the wall, reducing range and speed. Great router, but the mount holds it back. I also added two NetGear1‑Gb switches to remove the old 100‑Mb bottlenecks in my network. This instantly improved Wi‑Fi speeds on the RS300 and RS700, especially at longer distances.

Perfect replacement for my aging 2.4GHz WiFi router
The manual wasn't lying when it said it would take about 20 minutes to set up the NETGEAR Nighthawk. There was nary a hiccup when it came time to reconnecting my Nest thermostat and smoke detectors, which can be quite persnickety when it comes to dealing with multi-frequency networks (I couldn't them to play nicely with a new multi-frequency gaming router from ASUS, forcing me to return it and go back to my old, slow single-band router until I found the Nighthawk). 10 minutes after setting up the router, I was able to manage to update the router's firmware and create a guest WiFi network. I was a little bit skeptical of using an app to get things started, but I was pleasantly surprised as to how intuitive and downright helpful. All in all, I would definitely say
