I love this unit! I have has a higher end Weller soldering station for years and needed something with a hot air reflow for a project I was working on, so I ordered this because the price was good. Holy crap was that ever a good choice! This thing heats to full temp in seconds, and never fails to impress me, both on the soldering iron and hot air side. The stand/tip cleaner is not the best, but I ordered a separate one that also holds my solder spool. I actually liked this one so much I stopped using my trusty old Weller, and use this exclusively now!

Ok, I don't normally write reviews, but I have been using this soldering station for a couple months and it has been super reliable, feels comfortable in my hands and works great. The added bonus of 3 different temperature settings saved in memory makes for quick temperature adjustments when needing a bit more heat. The auto-off feature works great and I honestly didn't think I'd use it, but it has come in handy a few times when I forgot to turn the iron off.The temperature is achieved in pretty quick time, so I have less idle time waiting for the iron to heat up and reach temp.I use the iron almost every day, as I am an amp repair tech, so it's definitely gotten a lot of use over the last few months. The hot air gun seems to work just as well, though the cable could be a bit longer.All in all, I've been very impressed with this soldering station. Definitely one of the best purchases I've made. With a price this low, I expected more Chinese garbage, but this thing is a workhorse and I look forward to using it every day!

Ordered this for my first foray into SMD repair. Works well. Highly adjustable and easy to use. I only wish I could see those tiny components and that my hand was steady enough to handle them!. But I'm pretty happy with this soldering station that has both an iron and a hot air flow. So far I have repaired two items.

Nice setup. I like large display in my old age. Selection of tips, handy.

Bought a less expensive one before and had to send it back due to performance issues. The BAKON 881 2 in 1 has no issues so far. Heat up time is very impressive, plus the fact that you can see the current temperature. Another plus is that you can compensate for temperature deviation between the display and the tip. (requires a temperature probe) I used it a few times and really like it. I have also a Weller 55 for many years in my possession. The solder pen (replaced once before) is working erratically. The reasoning to purchase a new station was the cost of the Weller pen. The pen would cost roughly $50 add another $15 and you'll have a brand new, even with hot air rework attachment.Long term reliabillity? Only time can tell.

This a great little rework station that makes repairs and builds much easier.I took of a point for cables that are not heat resistant. I accidentally touched the soldering iron to the cord and it melted out a little divot. :-/
