Best Amp in the World @ Size, Weight, and Price - End of Story
I've played guitar professionally since 1980. I'm a Mesa Boogie tube amp addict impossible to please. This amp just blew me away and I NEVER say that! I plugged in my 1980 Les Paul SG - think AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. I put the amp through all of its paces with every knob and volume from 1 to 10 for an hour. This is the loudest amp I've played of its size - clean with incredible headroom. If you're amp-knowledgeable you know that's the main drawback of small amps. This amp has true legacy clean Fender tube tone and touch-sensitivity without expensive, quirky tubes. Incredibly versatile amp modeling - Classical, Modern, British and High Gain all fantastic. Same thing with effects - chorus, phase, vibratone, tremolo, delay, reverb all fantastic. I recommend that every novice, midlevel, and pro guitarist buy this amp. You'll use it a lot!

Great sounding practice amplifier with effects
Fender Champion II 25: This is a nice size with an 8-inch speaker. It sounds great. Lots of effects - watch some YouTube videos on the effects. The 2-page instructions are mostly useless for how to use it. The Champion 20 is similar enough that videos apply. Definitely start with bass and treble turned down and increase until you get a sound you like. Just a little turn of these can improve the sound. I used 5 for both then found 4 on bass and 6 on treble gave a different sound that I liked, depending on the guitar. For the price I think it is a winner with all the effects to play with. Update: I got a Celestion TF0818 replacement speaker. The speaker surround covered half the holes. It fit. It is more efficient so any ground connection issue at the wall outlet caused a high frequency tinge and some hum. It mostly went away when I removed the outlet expansion I plugged in. With a better wall ground, most noise is gone except at full volume which isn't used. I had to adjust the bass and treble with this speaker. Can't say it was a worthwhile upgrade. Also, the original negative connection is different than the positive. I had to solder a pigtail to it with a connector that fits the TF0818 - the amp's positive connector fit.

Great amp but the 50W is so much better for not much more cost
I actually love this amp and the built in FX and amp mods are great. But the 50W has a 12" speaker that sounds so much better than the 25W / 8" speaker. The 50W model also has 2 channels. For only another $100 you'll get so much more

Nice little amp!
This small amp is a nice bang for your dollar! I am an old guy who plays acoustic/electric guitar and electric guitar. I just use this amp in my home for my own pleasure. It has a lot of power for being small in size and has very nice sound quality. I'm not a real accomplished guitar player...but this amp probably makes me sound better than I really play...lol! It has a few effects that are nice as well. I love the reverb. I've only had the amp for a few days, if it lasts a while I will be extremely pleased with my purchase.
