This item works very well as long as you are not expecting it to cool a whole room while you have other electrics in there generating heat. It will however create an nice cool air space for you to sit in. In a room with nothing else generating heat, it does probably cool the room slightly after some time. I find it works best blowing directly at you and to have it within about a meter away. Yet to try adding ice to the water tank.

The fan was in the sale for £19.99 RRP was £99.99 it cooled the air slightly but not as much as advertised I use it as well as my tower fan as it wouldn't cool my bedroom on it's own ( I only have a small room) would I buy it again probably not

6th Aug : - UPDATE to this utter rubbish item.... 2nd one no good either NO 2nd or 3rd speeds only one speed, contacted the company HoMedics who make this unit, TOTALLY useless... So the 2nd one going back to Amazon lets see if the 3rd one has 3 speeds or just the one again FFS !!! 4th Aug :- POOR Quality parts > 0 /10 > ONLY ONE SPEED, THO MEANT TO HAVE 3 SPEED FAN U/S. Returned the day it was delivered, However going to try the replacement unit, If ? this is the same its ALL going back. Do your self a favor and ** DO NOT BUY THIS ** they are CRAP....... faulty out the box, for Christ sake....... However i returned it as faulty ONLY one speed working on the fan. I had a new one shipped to me from Amazon and this too is faulty ? ONLY one speed ? Do you have some kind of guilty issues? My occupation is that of an electrical engineer I know the difference in fan speeds ( audible ) and this unit DOES NOT speed up when the 2nd or 3rd speed is pressed via the speed control on the top of the unit. Please advice before this unit also goes back. VERY VERY disappointed

It's no different than a little fan , no colder ,buy a fan this does absolutely nothing and has less air output than a fan does ,

I have had reason to need to use this item for a short stay in hospital for seven days. It was a truly fantastic piece of kit which works better granted the closer you were to it. It is definitely an item that you can take it to the hospital, maybe slightly oversized, you can manage it with a little bit of Tetris obviously the colder it is that it’s cold water that you put into it the better the cooling you get but either way it is still very very good and falls very well off of the service bed tables when the nurse knocks it over, he just have to dry it out and leave it for a bit I can’t say enough for it just fantastic

Le produit fait son job il donne un aspect frais lorsqu'on est devant il ne faut pas être à plus d1m50 environ. Petit point par rapport à d'autres modèles (qui sont plus cher) apporte moins de fraîcheur.. Je précise ce n'est PAS un climatiseur il ne refroidit pas la pièce. Il fait juste une sensation que la pièce est plus froide.

Premessa, lavoro nel mondo del condizionamento e conosco il sistema evaporativo molto bene. Questo piccolo accessorio è perfetto per raffrescare fino a circa 2 metri, ne ho comprati due, uno lo uso sulla scrivania, uno l'ho usato tutta l'estate posizionato sul fondo del letto, posizionato sempre in direzione della persona, è un portento. Chi dice che non raffrescare è perché non sa usarlo, non è un condizionatore, è un raffrescatore evaporativo. Primo non serve a condizionare o rinfrescare camere ma solo a livello personale, altrimenti vi comprate un condizionatore da mille e passa euro.... Nel suo essere piccolo è comunque ottimo, dotato di filtro a differenza di molti altri che invece non lo hanno. Il filtro è importante, perché? Perché più superficie ha il filtro (e questo è fatto in modo da averne molta grazie al suo design), più riesce a far evaporare velocemente l'acqua e quindi a dare sollievo. Il suo scopo non è avere i pinguini, che non sarebbe comunque possibile con un prodotto simile, ma di alleviare la calura cercando di non far sudare per diverse ore. Unica pecca se vogliamo è che non dura tantissimo l'acqua, bisogna sempre tenere un po' aperta la finestra (soprattutto in ambienti piccoli), e rimane sempre un po' di acqua nella vaschetta anche quando dice che è finita. Quindi studierei meglio il sistema di raccolta. Per il resto ha salvato la mia estate. Prodotti Seri ne esistono pochi, uno è questo per un uso limitato, poi ce ne sono altri più professionali, ma a questo prezzo penso sia impossibile trovarne per un uso prettamente casalingo.

bin mir nicht sicher was andere Käufer erwartet haben .Ist nun mal keine Klimaanlage reicht für einen kleinen Raum um die Luft zu verbessern.Nebeneffekt ist die Kühlung.Der Ventilator macht halt nur Wind und hier bekomm ich noch eine andere Luft

Uno de los problemas cuando llega la época de calor, es lo extremadamente caro que resulta mantener el AA encendido especialmente cuando se tiene un AA centralizado para toda la casa. Estuve buscando opciones y surgió la posibilidad de comprar este producto a un precio asequible (menos de 40 euros). El tema es que no es un sustitutivo propiamente del AA, solamente me sirve, para no tener que encender el AA cuando no hace tanto calor y así ahorrar bastante. En general, está bastante bien y tiene una pinta de robustez que no se ve en modelos equivalentes de marca blanca. Ahora bien tiene algunos inconvenientes que me impiden dar una puntuación superior a 3 estrellas que paso a detallar: 1. El habitáculo donde se pone el agua está diseñado de una manera que no me convence, y aunque quizá sea una buena opción para conseguir buenos resultados, hay que recordar que el agua como tal no es capaz de enfriarla (solo tiene 6W, no da para más). Por eso, si se quiere conseguir algo de frescor, es necesario enfriar el agua previamente. El problema es que el hueco por donde entra el agua, no permite meter hielos, lo que facilitaría conservar el agua fría más tiempo que simplemente depositando agua fría de la nevera. Creo que deberían haber habilitando un hueco algo más ancho para que cupiesen al menos, hielos de tamaño pequeño. 2. Otra cosa que no me convence y algo me dice que hay riesgo de rotura, es el tapón de plástico. Es un tapón con una válvula, la cual deja pasar el agua al interior del producto para su operación. El problema es que al estar mirando hacia abajo, hay que apretar el tapón un poco más de lo normal, para que el agua no se salga. Al estar enroscando y desenroscando MUY frecuentemente (al menos unas 3 veces al día), algo me dice, que el tapón va a acabar cediendo la rosca o rompiéndose. En la línea del punto 1, creo que en general, la propuesta del habitáculo de agua boca abajo es muy mala idea. 3. El tiempo de operación es aproximadamente de entre 1 hora y media y 2 horas antes de que exija ser rellenado de nuevo. Creo que en este aspecto está bien. Suelo dar uso de este producto unas 5 horas al día, con lo cual, suelo tener un par de botellas en la nevera para rellenar. No tengo claro, si lo recomendaría. El tema es que dadas las posibilidades de rotura del tapón de rosca, mientras esté en garantía bien, pero fuera de ella, no tengo claro que HoMedics tenga grandes respuestos aquí en España (porque al menos en la página oficial, no aparece España en la lista de países seleccionables). Posiblemente si tenga que comprarla en otro país Europeo, puede que me salga más caro el collar que el perro. Y no me parece un producto de usar y tirar a la primera de cambio. Lo que sí es cierto, es que el invento, como tal, me ha gustado y me resulta extremadamente conveniente para ahorrar en luz.
