Mad Margaret Experiments with the Scientific Method (In the Science Lab)

I teach in a 4th-5th grade self-contained special education classroom. My students loved this book and started to make connections regarding the scientific method. In fact, I’m writing this review, because I got sidetracked looking to see if there is a whole book set!

This is a cute story to read to kids about scientific method.

Great story for kids that applies the scientific method!

I like the story but hoped the vocabulary for the scientific method included the words OBSERVATION and CONCLUSION. I teach 2nd grade and the students easily predicted the result even before the characters wrote a hypothesis.

Nice book. I have a 4 year old and she likes when I read this to her. However I'll say this is more for kindergarteners. It helps teach kids the scientific methods

Good book to start the school year off with for my STEM classes.

With the scientific method now part of the common core for lower grades, this book gives a GREAT example of following the process to figure out a problem. Though most of the kids figured out the problem before the end of the book, I would recommend this book because it makes the scientific process seem easy and approachable.

I love the book! The delivery is another story. The delivery of this item was awful. The book was folded almost in half horizontally, which made a permanent mark and ruined the spine.
