Review: A cheap way to beat the heat! - I used to buy this from Poundland but have been unable to find it since ours shut down.I bought it to cool down in the summer and have tried other brands and sprays but none of them seem as effective as this brand. I overheat so badly in this hot humid weather we have in the UK and just can not cool down. Massaging this onto shoulders and neck and legs/backs of knees and calves definitely brings temperature down. I think it’s because this has more oil’s in the ingredients. Other than that the ingredients are very similar. Freeze gel works by helping to relax the muscles around the painful joint, just like you might apply frozen peas to an injury. It’s was my GP who first recommended I tried it on a knee injury. I use it on my back and knees after gardening when I’ve overdone things. I find it very helpful and the gel stays cold for about 30 minutes which is long enough to ease away the aches. This pack of four is amazing value for money when I compare it to my normal brand. I wouldn’t hesitate to order them again and I like the smell which is menthol. Decided to give this a try after reading the reviews. Arrived promptly and well packaged, no problems with leaks that others had mentioned. Easy though messy to apply and does take a while to dry but stays cold for a long time but not at all uncomfortable. So far it does seem to have eased the pain and I have certainly slept well after applying this.
