Didn’t work with our TV

We lost the original remote for our DVD player when we moved and this one hooked right up and works great. No problems so far.

I had made the mistake of leaving batteries in my original remotes and as you can probably guess they leaked. I tried cleaning up the leakage but I was still unable to get the old remotes to work, so I figured I would try a universal remote as a replacement. Kinda take care of the multiple dead remote issue with one unit. Even though both my TV (a Vizio) and the Blu-ray player (a Sony) are name brand units and not very old, they did not appear in the list of manufacturer codes provided. So I had to go through the process of letting the remote try to seek out working codes on its own. It took forever and even when I found somewhat working codes the remote still only works half of the time. While I had hoped for an easy solution, my hopes were dashed on the rocks of reality. If you can buy replacement remotes for your originals then do it or buy a much better quality universal remote.

I bought this remote and could not make it work. That was until I went to try the manufacturers code from a different remote company . Surprisingly I had to go to a different company to get codes that actually worked. After I got the code I am very please the hardware works very well

Needed one being one of my wife’s grandkids walked off with the one I had. Cheaper than what I had before but simpler. The one I had was more complex and did more but I think I like this better because it is simpler. Needed it for an older television set but I have other ideas for it. Would buy again because of the simplicity and it’s cheaper and a good buy!
