A Pleasant Surprise
Bluetooth has made a lot of progress over the years, there are still a few downsides to it but, devices like these make it more and more appealing for someone who's been set on using wired interfaces over the years.Pros - Can't argue with 30 hours of battery life, I've been using it for the past 5 days and haven't had to recharge. (I would estimate 20 hours of use so far). - It actually sounds a lot better than specified, I wasn't expecting the sound to be this clear and even the bass still has volume to it. They went for clear sound rather than heavy bass and in a lot of cases I prefer it this way. - Commuting to work through busy streets, tubes and buses caused no drop in audio quality regardless of whether my phone was in my pocket or in my bag. - Connecting it up to any compatible device was seamless, the fact it also acts as a headset is beneficial and aptX really does help with higher quality responsive sound. - The headset is extremely comfortable, I am a huge fan of closed cup headphones, but these do a good job of blocking out external noise. - Controls on the device are intuitive and easy to use. I never usually find myself using the buttons on these kind of devices but this felt a lot more natural. - The headset looks premium, not exactly what I prefer, but I would never say it looks bad.Cons - The audio stutters once you reach 5-6 metres, this is with any bluetooth device, I work in broadcasting and we supply devices that can offer 10-15m in range. I'm not comparing but, they do state 10m for this device and I was quite disappointed that I can't venture far with them. - High frequency sound can become distorted, this was a very rare case, but if you're favourite song is hitting those high notes then it can be a big issue. - Using the device as a headset drastically drops the audio quality, the functionality behind it is fine and I believe this is an issue with bluetooth bandwidth rather than the device itself. No noise cancellation on the mic either. - Open ear headphones can be heard by everyone around you. This product made me think twice about my feelings towards bluetooth headsets, for the price you are not going to find much better and specifications do not do this headset justice, it sounds a lot better than you think.

The headset feels solid with a good quality fabric being used. It fits comfortably around my ears with a sound proofing effectUSEI tested the actual use of the headset last light - The pairing was super easy - Just switch on by holding down the multi-use button, switch on your device(mobile ect) Bluetooth and select pair - As easy as that. I then tested it for use with phone calls and YouTube Videos - both performed excellentlyCONTENTSPresentation Box, Headset, Soft Carry Pouch with Drawstrings, USB Cable, Instruction ManualsTECH SPECSPlayback Time: 30HWearing Style: Super-aural, On EarBattery: Rechargeable 850 mAh Lithium-ion BatteryBuilt in MicrophoneNFC PairingBluetooth 4.0Flexible headband

Now on the replacement...
ARCTIC P614 BT I upgraded to this model after having a great time with its predecessor model, which i gave to a friend. However 5 months in, it has become faulty, makes some fuzzy noises even when off and does not seem to be charging properly or gets depleted after short while - compared to the days of light use i used to get. The standard returns time has expired, however i though it would have some sort of EU 1 year manufacturers warranty but cannot find anything on Amazon website - been going round in circles. Dissapointed. But eventually came across the CustomerService number and they quickly arranged a return and replacement... phew

Great set of headphones
As usual, Amazon’s delivery is really great. On time, all the time. The P614 BT come in a slide in box that feels strong and rigid, like both of the other Arctic products I have bought. The box boasts a 30 hour battery life, comfortable ear pads, expandable and flexible headband. The headphones come with an in-built mic, playback controls, LED indicator, pairing button, microUSB charging port and a multifunction button. They weigh just under 145g and have an 850mAh Li+ rechargeable battery.Upon picking up the headset, they feel very solid and have a decent weight to them. Not too heavy, but enough to know that they’re not cheap.First thing I noticed is that there is no R or L on the headphones, so presumably it makes no difference. The documentation is satisfactory and the included microUSB charging cable and faux-leather bag was a nice addition too. The bag is large enough to fit the headphones without any difficulty at all and even has some space left for cables and an iPod.Pairing the headset is quick and easy, simply follow the instructions and you’re good to go.In-built microphones are never ones to rely on, as they are never as good as a dedicated mic, so if you are a gamer or require a high quality mic, then you’d have a separate one if you were to use this headset professionally, but that is not who these headphones are marketed to. The earpads are very soft and the headband is not too tight, and it fits snug around my head, causing no discomfort at all. They fit well enough to keep out any mild background noise, but with no over-ear feature or active noise cancellation, these are not to be used in noisy conditions as earplugs. The sound quality is really good and is higher than what I was expecting. The quality doesn’t degrade with distance, but will suddenly cut off when out of the 10m range, which is plenty. It is less if there are walls on obstructions. The 30 hour battery is plenty even for the hardcore music enthusiasts out there, but can easily be charged directly from your laptop via USB.The sound quality is good for an in-built mic and is handy that it doesn’t protrude from the housing at all.The microUSB port is protected by piece of rubber that hinges on one side to prevent dust entering. The LED is bright and clear, the volume rocker is handy as are the next/previous song buttons.Overall a good headset for the price (£33.99) and I look forward to seeing what more Arctic has to offer.
