Someone gave me a couple of sample containers of this floss a while back. I loved it, and my hygienist actually pointed out that I had less tartar in my problem areas. Unfortunately I tossed the containers, and could not remember the brand name for the life of me. I ordered some others that looked similar, but just weren't the same. Recently the name popped into my head, and I ordered some more. Works great! A little thicker than regular floss, but since it's waxed, it slides right in between my teeth. It's sort of disgusting, but also weirdly satisfying that because the floss is black, you can actually see what you're scraping out. Flavor is very mild. So glad I found this again, and my dental hygienist will be too!

About 6 months ago, I noticed that the floss wasn't nearly as thick as it used to be, so it became pretty clear that J&J had joined the shrinkflation movement (a manufacturing practice where the physical size, volume, or weight of a product is reduced while its retail price remains the same). Pffft, another company trying to pull the wool over consumer's eyes... Then I saw an ad for Burst Expanding Dental Floss and decided to give it a try. I LOVE IT!!!! PROS: Because the floss expands, it completely fill the space between each tooth so errant food particles can't hide there; even if your teeth are very close together, Burst can fit. And the unusual black color shows everything you thought you were removing with your old floss. Plus, it's vegan and free of PFAS, PTFE, parabens, and BPA. If you're not a fan of the Mint Eucalyptus flavor, you can choose the Juniper Berry or Watermelon Mint flavors. And the cases are refillable so instead of buying a new package every time, keep the outer case and simply insert a new "bobbin". CONS: The price... You can buy floss like Reach at any grocery or drug store for about $1.50 for 55 yards, while Burst will set you back about $5.75 for an individual 40-yard case. Multi-packs are available but each individual floss case costs the same as if you bought 1 freestanding case. However, if you buy just the refills without the case, the cost per bobbin drops to about $5.00.

Excellent floss for people who have some gaps between their teeth, that is not too tightly set. The black color makes it easy to see particles removed, the thread is strong and good quality, it does not fray. One of the best expanding flosses on the market! Would definitely repurchase - they also have just the refills.

This floss works amazing when it comes to getting the gunk and plaque out of your teeth, however, it leaves my back gums hurting like HELL! It’s to the point that I have to make sure my teeth aren’t touching when I sleep after flossing at night. I don’t even floss hard! I recently started flossing again, though I’m pretty sure that isn’t the issue because when I switched to dollar store floss to compare, the dollar store floss didn’t hurt my gums at all. It’s a very good floss, but if you have sensitive gums, you might wanna be careful or use something else. 😅

Best floss ever!! I like the fact that it has a nice flavor and not over doing it. The floss does expand and is very strong. I re-ordered again and will not hesitate to recommend "Burst" to all my friends and associates. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. Your teeth will thank you and so will your dentist.

Saw this on social media and thought I’d give it a try! The absolute best dental floss. I will never go back to the white stuff. This feels great on your teeth and incredibly sturdy making you feel you e thoroughly cleaned.

This dental floss is fantastic. Amazing. After years mostly happy with my old floss it was discontinued. There followed lots of wasted money trying all different brands of flosses. New ones are all plastic now and are often so thin and hard to grip around fingers to use easily. I read the reviews of this one and to say I am happy is an understatement. It is easy to use as it is not so thin as to be impossible to hold. It glides nicely between teeth and I have quite narrow gaps and it is still fine. No shredding or breaking at all so no wastage. Nice minty taste. It just feels like it is doing a good job. I just hope this one remains available indefinitely as I would go so far as to say it is the best floss I have ever used and I'm talking 50 years of flossing. Yes, I'm very happy.

I recommend. Probably not the best floss I have ever used, but I will buy it again. It is thicker than others, so if you have tight spaces, you may struggle a bit. Hopefully, no nasty chemicals in its composition.
