Great performance, flexible, and stable
This is my first multi-disk NAS beyond a Raspberri Pi + HDD or a spare laptop running SMB.I'm impressed. The software, though a little cheesy in the package descriptions, is stable and useful. It has the ability to run almost anything in Docker. There are plenty of built-in file sharing protocols. So far, the 8GB of RAM is enough for now and I'm comfortable knowing that can be upgraded. No issues with physically adding and recognizing new disks and managing the array.I'm running a 2.5Gbps home network and this NAS maxes that out bandwidth consistently.I can't quantify is how well it uses the NVME cache. I have a pair of 512GB NVME sticks and it doesn't seem to maximize their capabilities. The disks are a little bit noisy, constantly churning since I'm storing video from one CCTV camera, a little bit of sound insulation in the housing could improve that.

Great NAS with a lot to offer
Easy to set up and use. There have been regular updates and improvements since receiving it. Seems reliable. Built on Linux with useful apps. Also offers 2 step authentication

Very happy with my new NAS system
Very happy with this NAS so far. I am using 4x 4TB Western Digital Red Plus hard drives with it plus 1TB Samsung 990 Evo Plus for a boot drive for TrueNAS and a 4TB Samsung 990 Evo Plus for a cache drive. It is much faster than my old QNAP NAS.Some interesting things to note:* TrueNAS recommends 16GB of RAM so I bought a "Crucial 8GB DDR5 RAM, 4800MHz CL40 High-Speed Laptop RAM, SODIMM 262-Pin - CT8G48C40S5" and it seems to be working well.* During setup of TrueNAS, the system kept resetting itself... so I disable the Watchdog timer in the BIOS.* Use Ctrl+F2 to get into the BIOS.* I left the original SSD with the UGREEN NAS software in there and bought a new 1TB SSD to use to boot TrueNAS.* Unfortunately the LED drive and network lights need special software. There is a solution for this unit when using TrueNAS out there but it is limited. Basically it checks the status of the drives and sets the light accordingly every 5 minutes via the cron job you can setup to run a special script. At least I should be instantly aware if a drive goes bad because I notice a light is red instead of green.* It took me awhile to figure everything out, get the new SSDs and RAM installed (easy enough though), doing some quick testing, get TrueNAS working the way I want with SMB shares, and robocopy everything over from my old NAS, but it was without any major issues and so far the system seems very stable. Hopefully it will keep working reliably for years without me having to spend a lot of time on it.

Synology Replacement
I recently migrated from a Synology DS420+ to the DXP 4800 Plus. The setup was a breeze—especially if you’re familiar with NAS systems. The OS is reminiscent of DSM, though it’s missing a few features. I had no trouble getting Docker containers spun up for the apps I need, and Plex hardware transcoding works flawlessly, thanks to my Plex Pass. One odd issue cropped up with the 2.5Gb NIC negotiating down to 1Gb. Fortunately, it was easily resolved by simply unplugging and reconnecting the network cable. My UPS is connected via USB and was immediately recognized by the OS, allowing me to configure power options without any hassle. For storage, I configured a WD Red NVMe as Volume 1 to host apps and Docker containers. My spinning drives are set as Volume 2 to handle mass storage.I can’t quite give it a full five stars, mainly due to the limitations of UGOS’s built-in backup software. While it functions reliably, users coming from Synology HyperBackup may find it lacking. Currently, backups to another NAS over RSYNC are supported, but it can’t perform folder syncs—only backup files in its proprietary format. To its credit, it does support versioning.Packaging was excellent and included everything needed for setup. The NAS itself is impressively built and looks great on the shelf.

Ugreen DXP 4800 plus - solid choice.
As first time NAS user I found the hardware quick and easy to setup. Getting for backups of phone and computer working was also a breeze. The photo app works really well. Some good guides online to set up the media server of your choice - plex, jellyfin, emby etc. They are a bit more complex, but follow the guides and its not hard. I could not be happier with this NAS. The better than average hardware was what sold me. Their apps are getting better and better every month.

Great build quality
This is replacing my Snology Nas. So far, it has exceeded my expectations. The build quality and software are great. There aren't many applications available, but I don't need them. It is simple to set up the hardware and the software. Glad I made the jump since now Synology wants you to buy their branded hard drives.

The Best NAS I’ve Owned – UGREEN Plus Surpassed My Expectations
I absolutely love the UGREEN Plus NAS! It’s sleek, minimalist, and aesthetically pleasing, but don’t let the simplicity fool you—the software is surprisingly comprehensive and fully functional. I initially worried about the OS capabilities, but it has everything you need. For power users: max out the RAM to 64GB if you plan to run VMs or Docker apps like Nextcloud, which can easily eat 30GB+ for full functionality. Adding cache also boosts performance. My only hiccup was a corrupted sync app after an intermittent power outage (get a UPS—lesson learned!), but the support team is actively resolving it. Beyond that, this NAS is flawless and future-proof. Highly recommended—it outshines Synology, which feels outdated now. A game-changer!UPDATE: Sync app dont work, support team is taking more than 10 days to give me answer I cant use the device for backup anything.
