Benelic My Neighbor Totoro Music Box

The figurine looks great; the colors are correct (totorro is gray, as he should be, not green like in the photo) and the textures conveyed in the sculpting are well done. Five stars on the visual aspect.The music strikes me as being a bit off... it is played rather rapidly, which may just be a new spring or something, but the arrangement of the theme song itself seems off as well, sort of frenetic. I haven't really analyzed it, but my impression is that the countermelody is too prominent and the tempo seems inconsistent. On the other hand it may just takes some getting used to. Knocked off one star for that, almost took 2.

Beautiful piece! Very sturdy, not cheaply made. My only thing (very small thing) is that the white Totoro on top doesn't spin very fast, quite slow even, and I couldn't tell at first if it was actually moving. Other than that, I'm giving this as a gift, and I'm sure she's going to love it! The song is also quite fast at first, but this is the case with most music boxes. If you have to shop for a ghibli fan, buy them this! The packaging was also very secure and it arrived exactly on schedule. I'd buy from them again no problem.

The artwork is lovely, I'm a huge Totoro fan and once I saw it I fell in love......the problem was that the packaging was great but it still came with it's umbrella broken, I think this must be an issue from the time they put it in the box because, as I said, the packaging was great. Another thing is that the music it plays sounds well, but it's quite fast (if you don't mine, then go for it!)Even so, it's really pretty, the colors and the size looks awesome! but if you wish to use it as a music box, maybe you should buy the music box separately.

I purchased this lovely item for a gift. I ordered it the 18th and it said the package would not arrive until the 30th. I got it today on the 22nd. Great and speedy delivery. When. I opened it. It looks great. The music that is played is wonderful and very clear. His colors are accurate. The thing I love the most is his whiskers. They are some sort of twine material, so they move. Which is adorable. If I weren't married to the person I am giving it to, I would also buy it again for my self. Beautiful Piece of art.

I bought this for a friend's baby shower. She just had a daughter and it seemed like a good gift, everyone loved it. Including me, I was actually a little hesitant to give it away...and Totoro isn't even one my favorites. Definitely an awesome gift, I would have given it a higher rating but it was still a bit on the expensive side. That's really the only problem I had with it.

I am in love with this music box! Absolutely beautiful, with stunning detail and texture! The music is spot on with the film version, and it is weighty and stable, which I am grateful for. Usually, you can never tell from the picture how the product will be in person, but this music box does NOT disappoint! I would buy it again as a gift in a heartbeat.The packaging was very sturdy and protected the music box extremely well, also! All around I am thrilled with this purchase!

Very well made. When I got it out of the box I turned the key on the bottom and it wouldn't play, I turned it back the other way and it started to play. I was afraid turning it the other way would mess something up but it was just hung and it worked fine. The music plays kind of fast but it's a nice piece and I would buy it again for a gift in the future.

I bought this as a gift, so I don't know how long it will last, however I did open it and inspect it before I gave it to my friend. The box it comes in looks beautiful, and it is packaged pretty wonderfully in Styrofoam, so there is no concern over it breaking. The music turner is on the bottom, and the thing on top spins. The color in the picture does look a little weird, however the actual product Totoro is the correct color.
