279834 Dryer Gas Valve Ignition Solenoid Coil Kit 694540

Worked exactly as it should. It was a breeze to replace the failed Solenoid Coil with this one and my dryer was up and running in about 15 minutes. Most of the time was spent getting access to the old coil. Highly recommend buying from this seller.

Completely satisfied with with the coil kit, it resolve the problem I was having with the dryer. Before I replaced the coils I tested the coil with a Multimeter and found that 3 prong unit failed and found that the center prong was open (no ohm reading)

Bought these coils for my aging Maytag Atlantis dryer. Symptoms were normal operation for the first min. or two, then no heat. These took about 15 min to install and restored full operation. Fit perfectly, fit and appearance is same as OE.

They came right away and helped me get my dryer going again, outstanding.

Update - It works, by bad - the previous solenoid had a sleeve that came off when I removed it. Also this item has no instructions link! You need to align solenoid carefully with a plastic notch at the top. It probably works for many dryers, but it did not work for my Whirlpool WGD5900SW0 (Vintage 2007). One of the solenoids fits fine, but the other one was a hard fit, and it appears too tight. I am buying much more expensive OEM part now.

This product is as it says and does work great. fixed my 40 year old maytag. I gave it four star because of the fit, the original parts are snug as a bug placing over the gas valve shafts, these replacement solenoids are a little wiggly BUT! works. i very happy with product.

Yes fixed the problem of dryer not heating

I replaced these in addition to the igniter, dryer is working great now. These old Whirlpool/ Kenmore washers and dryers are very serviceable and last a very long time. Today's newer washers and dryers all have digital controls and circuit boards that cost a lot to repair.

I can fix a lot of things with an engine but when my dryer stopped working I thought it was toast. Bought this and it fixed the problem of it just spinning and spinning but no heat. Hope this helps someone save some money

18 yr old Whirlpool gas dryer wasn’t heating properly. Diagnosed the easiest and cheapest parts to repair first starting with the solenoid. This was the parts I needed, changed them out easily, and we have a hot dryer again.

Other sites wanted 80 dollars just for a secondary coil. Amazon was in my ballpark.

It saves my gas dryer and much money, I don't need to buy a new one!
