5 stars for the product, BUT 1 STAR FOR THE APPLYING THE PRODUCT….We have used this product for 3 years, great product. BUT the last to bottles, the applicator would get clogged due to the solution in the jugs beingMucousy like liquid. I know that sounds gross.. I called the company that makes deer stop and they actually told me it’s the way it was being stored by Amazon, not storing it properly, or old product…So I ordered it through the company itself sorry AMAZON. But I won’t be ordering any more of this stuff through Amazon. But the product itself is good so if you’re looking to purchase this product, look on the bottle, the name of the company and call the company directly, and they will ship it to you. You’ll get it within a day or two.. the product really works the deer stay away from my flowers and now I’m happy person again. And it doesn’t have a gross smell…

This product does work but the sprayer is cheap china container product that does NOT spray. It sprays 3 times then quits and you have to force the sprayer handle back open so it can spray again. If you see a product that uses these types of gallon sprayers avoid buying the product. This is the third container like this (this product and others) that has failed for me for various reasons and I have to move the liquid into a more reliable container to use. You are better off buying the refill gallons and use your own sprayer. Product works great at keeping the deer away. These type of sprayers are junk.

Ok, I’m always skeptical of product like this but I needed a solution for the deer in our neighborhood. I spent a lot of money on the hostas in our beds and the deer had made a buffet out of them. There were a variety of products on Amazon but understanding my skepticism, I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money. This gallon container was twenty bucks so I thought I’d take a gamble.It’s a hosta saver folks. I followed the directions except I’ve sprayed every two weeks. This performs as advertised. All the leaves are intact and now they’ve all bloomed. Money well-spent.

seems to work well but sprayer clogs and now it's basically worthless...update: I contacted customer support and they were great! They're sending a new one... Hopefully this will work fine

First product that actually does keep deer away from my plants.

It keeps deer away but the nozzle clogged up had to put solution in another spray bottle.

This deer spray was recommended by a friend. So far this year I have had excellent results! Our neighbor feeds the deer everyday which I love to watch, but they come through our yard at night and for the past few years, have eaten all my hosta plants. Other sprays were hit or miss. So far(knock on wood) with Deer Stopper, I have not had even a nibble over the last couple months. I would highly recommend this product!!

Update: called Messinas and a very helpful representative instructed me to email my Amazon receipt for the defective product and they’ll ship out a replacement. What I experienced with their product definitely isn’t normal.First, the instructions direct you to pour the contents into a sprayer. This container comes with a sprayer so why do I need to pour it into a sprayer? After shaking well, I insert the spray nozzle and start spraying the deer buffet that my garden has become.Just a few minutes in, the pump handle is no longer making a spray come out. There’s a white substance around the spray hole. I pull the sprayer feed hose out of the container and the once clear hose is completely clogged with this white substance. Attempts to clear it, including hot water, are futile.I pour some of the well shaken product onto a pressurized sprayer and begin using, with a thorough shake every minute. In just a few minutes it produces the same white substance clogging the spray tube and nozzle. The white substance doesn’t dissolve when rubbed between the fingers. It’s almost like it has fibers or something synthetic and not soluble in it.Will be returning.
