So looking forward to shampooing the carpet in my daughters house. แบe were doggy sitting. It seems that the product is faulty. What do we do next?

Trigger very, very stiff
Delivery was quick & the shampoo has a pleasant scent; HOWEVER, the trigger handle to release the shampoo onto the rug/carpet is extremely stiff which makes the shampooer tricky to use.
