Handmade Pakols - Chitrali Cap/Afghani/Hat Custom Made in Pakistan

I’m so happy to finally have a Pakol again. I had one and it went somewhere in the shuffle. This is a super nice hat. I wanted black to wear with some other clothing I have, and this is high quality wool and fits perfectly for my size head. I contacted the seller with questions before I ordered and his response back was quick. The order arrived sooner than the expected date on Amazons’ estimation.I am very pleased with it and it’s will get worn almost every day. The lining is nice and they are well worth what is being asked for a hat of this quality. It is certainly comfortable and is not loose or too tight wearing it. It’s adjustable as well.I’m guessing I will order more of these in different colors. It keeps my head warm when I go outside.The transaction was great just like I’ve come to expect from Amazon.In my opinion this is a top notch third party seller store and if I were in the market for merchandise like theirs, I wouldn’t hesitate ordering from them. Wool’s a winner.

This is a very nicely made Pakol. The fit was initially a little tight, but the material has loosened a bit. It is now a very comfortable, well-fitting hat.I love wearing it on cold days.

I'm no pakol expert, but this one was made in Pakistan and seems legit. The tag states that it comes from Bazaar Islamabad in Peshawar City, Pakistan, which is close to the border with Afghanistan. I have Prime and while this wasn't included with Prime shipping, it did arrive from the Pakol House warehouse in Texas in about five days.Color: Ordered the dark brown and the color that arrived is exactly the same as in the product photo. All of my photos here show the color fairly accurately, as well, barring the close-up shot showing the fabric's texture. I really wish this pakol was offered in an deep olive green, like I've seen elsewhere, but do like the selection available through Pakol House.Material: Without the means for independent testing, I, of course, cannot be 100% certain, but this really does seem to be felted wool (see close-up photo accompanying my review). The hat is lined with what is likely to be cotton or some sort of cotton/poly blend.Fit: I have a medium to large sized women's head and this pakol not only fits, but has plenty of room to spare. I also have a lot of thick, curly hair, so would assume that it would fit many larger men's sizes heads, as well. If size is a concern, you can find information on the internet about stretching these out, which can help make them even more roomy.The brim unrolls about 6", for those who like to wear them lower down or to cover more of your head. You would not want to unroll this fully, however, as that would expose the loose fabric scraps used as a support to roll the brim around. The product fits okay. I am a first-time purchaser. The reviews that I read were somewhat correct. The hat does fit tight. However, after a few uses, I found that it has been broken in a bit and fits a little more comfortably.
