Nice little jug
Very cute and handy little jug.

beautiful Japanese design
The product holds about 2 mugs of liquid or 3 small cups. I brew coffee in the morning and holds it warm for about 3/4 hours.Only issue is that you have to remove the lid to empty the entire contents. Hence the 4 stars. Also slightly pricey but I guess we pay for the Japanese import.

Leaks after a couple months
Jug leaks and has terrible pouring action. It looks really nice and it retains its content's heat, but the pouring action is awful. I was willing to put up with that, but after a couple of months of use, it's now sprung a leak where the plastic handle meets the jug body so I get spilled coffee with every pour.Jug has been well looked after and only ever rinsed out with hot water, after each use. It's a terrible design though and i'd expect better from Hario, especially for such a premium price.

Pricey but good quality
So let's get it straight, it's outrageously expensive. A hario filter is a way to get amazing coffee without breaking the bank (compared to espresso machines) with the v02 and the filters costing next to nothing. But some of the other products do have their hand in your pocket. I'd already forked out on a kettle with a fancy spout!Having smashed the glass carafe I was on the look out for a replacement and saw this. I must have been feeling flush and slightly smitten with the good looks and wanting a companion to my expensive kettle. It is pretty. It is expensive. It does look good with my kettle. It won't smash like my old glass one. And actually, it's paying for itself. I haven't had a single cold cup of coffee since buying it. Not even when my youngest son promptly craps himself the second I've finished making a brew. Not even when I've forgotten to drink it in a rush and then returned home two hours later after doing the weekly shop. Sure there are items that will do the same for about 1/5th the price. But did I say how pretty it was?Hario know what they're doing. Hook you in with the cheap equipment and then have their hands in your pocket for all their premium produce.

Have coffee now and also later
I had the glass Hario jug but after many years of reliable service I chipped it in the dishwasher (my fault I know). So I decided to upgrade and get this minimalist white jug. It has the usual Hario design, looks very swanky yet also not over the top. I make a pot with this in the morning and if I am not exceptionally thirsty, find it is still warm by lunchtime. As a few other reviews mention the design of the lid means you have to turn it upside down and shake (slowly and carefully) to get the very last drops out but this is a few millilitres so nothing to get frustrated by. Cleaning is easy I do so in the sink but it can probably be popped in the dishwasher. Main thing is you can make a V60 on this, it keeps the coffee warm and looks very nice as well.
