Brilliant advent calendar. Unique, fun, and good size crystals each day. Contains a wide variety with no repeats. The extra accessories it comes with (e.g., the bag, necklace etc) are good quality and fun. Great for kids and adults. Extra info on each crystal daily would be interesting; possibly a QR code to a page with more detail. Would recommend for definite as it was great value.

My 7 year old absolutely adores this advent calendar. Every morning is met with absolute excitement about what gem she will get. The final door dig kit is super super exciting and a lovely idea.Our only criticism is as other reviews have said, sometimes the gems received are not even on the description list! Still nice gems, but we've had to Google Lens/try and work out what they are!!Overall a great advent calendar, a nice alternative to chocolate!I think price wise, I got it on offer, so I would say worth the money! :-)

Bought this for my 12 year old daughter who has been interested in a gemstone advent calendar for the past couple of years. We’ve seen a lot of fake National Geographic calendars, where the makers imitate this company’s colours on their box design but reviews suggested the specimens were tiny and poor. When we saw this official National Geographic calendar, we took the plunge and could not be happier.The box itself has factual information about the gemstones and a lot of the stones were really good sized. A small bag is provided to store the stones in, but the bag was full by the time we had opened half the calendar. Maybe National Geographic should include either two bags or one that is two or three times as large as the current bag provided? Luckily we had another bag for storing the remaining stones. There are also some accessories for making jewellery but we haven’t used those yet.We got this when we noticed the price had dropped a few pounds. But we were so happy with the contents, this is one of the few advent calendars we would be happy to get full price. My daughter loved this calendar and said it was her favourite advent calendar from the past few years.

After a slight disappointment with one stone missing, we got in touch with think blue marble, and they have gone above and beyond to correct the problem. A replacement calendar was dispatched as soon as they received our email. Fantastic customer service. Thank you

Our daughter lives this advent calendar. She’s so excited everyday day to see which gem she gets. It comes with a little pouch bag to store all the gem stone in which is a nice touch. Perfect for 5 year old who loves gems

My 10 year old son really enjoyed this advent calendar. I thought it was a nice alternative to candy/chocolate. He looked forward to opening it every morning morning. There is a full list of the Gems inside the flap, and although it appears to line by numbers (25 rocks) there were a couple duplicates and some that did not show up at all. Overall I think the value was there and we enjoyed the learning and aesthetic of the gems as they are now proudly on display.

My son loved this, the stones are great and very cool that it provides information about each one.This is the only reason it’s not 5 stars. I would advise to pull each stone out yourself and give it to them, because the box contains the photos and descriptions of each stone very clearly, so it takes the surprise away to know what they will be getting. It would have been better to have a small booklet or something to give them at the end so that it preserves the surprise and then they also have it to reference and learn from later (because the box will be thrown away).
