Great flavor and smell and I have not had to take an antacid since I started consuming 1/4 tsp before my meals.

This particular brand of Slippery Elm bark is from an older bark, as this brand was a very dark powder!It looked like instant coffee! It had a very strong and unpleasant taste! Whenever I have purchased other brands of Slippery Elm, the powder was light and the color of a chocolate milkshake, which tasted much more mild. This particular brand didn't show what the powder looked like inside the bag. Not only did it taste bad, it would NOT thicken up to provide the mucilage effect for what I was looking for to soothe my symptoms.I thought all Slippery Elms were the same, but they are not. There is a difference in "older bark" verses "younger bark." 👀 Beware and make sure you are able to see the color of the powder prior to purchasing.

Extremely disappointed. I use slippery elm for my Golden Retriever who has gurdwara. I have been using it for years. I put some in a bowl added water & it did not turn slimy / thick & slippery like it's supposed to. So I added more....nothing just a watery mud that was gritty. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT...IT IS NOT SLIPPERY ELM!!

So glad I purchased this. It helps with my gut. I'm thrilled and will purchase again. One bag lasts forever since the dosing size is so small. I wish the measuerer had a longer handle. Otherwise I'm very happy with it. Great value and super effective. I mix this in my morning smoothie and wouldn't even know its there. Its a powder and not grainy.
