I purchased a Timmit turntable a number of years ago, and it came with the industry-standard Audio Technica AT3600 cartridge with an ATN3600C stylus. I was looking into getting a replacement stylus, and I stumbled onto the fact that Audio Technica had released an elliptical version - the ATN3600LE - and it got great reviews. So I ordered it... I received the new stylus 2 days before the estimated date, and removal of the old one and installation of the new one was very very easy - it was a perfect fit. I could not believe the sound improvement! I've had a subwoofer along with my regular speakers to accent the bass, and with the new needle I turned off the subwoofer and don't know any difference! The sound was much clearer, the bass was sharper, the highs were higher, and there were some small sound details that I had not heard before.
