Quiet and large capacity humidifier with inaccurate humidity reading
UPDATE: I’m actually bumping this into 5 stars. The hygrometer is working much better and the humidifier is maintaining the room well right around 45%. It’s super quiet and lasts a long time with the large tank. As long as this thing keeps working as it should, I am very happy with it! UPDATE: After a couple more days of use, the hygrometer appears to be getting more accurate. It seems as if the abnormally high readings occur after filling the tank full, but this seems to improve as the unit is used. ORIGINAL REVIEW We just received this humidifier a couple days ago and so far it’s been working well. I’m using it in an upstairs room where I keep some guitars to keep the humidity controlled during the cold winter months. We have an integrated whole home humidifier hooked to our furnace, but prefer not to keep the whole house too humidified to reduce condensation buildup on the windows. This little unit does a nice job for a small to medium size room and the extra large capacity is really nice, only have to fill it every 2-3 days even running almost constantly. Having the app and WiFi capability is nice as I can remotely control it even when not at home. My biggest gripe is the hygrometer reading is WAY off compared to my other in-room hygrometer, which makes the Auto function almost useless. Readings are constantly 10-15% higher than actual, mainly because it seems like the unit’s hygrometer sits quite nearby where the mist is being expelled (it appears it’s probably on the back of the unit head, but even with the mist shooting away from it, readings are quite off). So if you’re looking for accuracy to use the Auto function, this may not be the best unit, but if you plan to keep the humidifier running constantly during the very dry winter months and prefer large capacity for minimal refills, this is a good unit to consider. I obviously can’t speak on the long term function of the unit, hopefully it holds up as I know a lot of these types tend to work for a year or two and then go kaput.

Works perfectly
Good quality, have had this for a couple years without any problems. We follow the instructions and clean it when it is time, and only use distilled water. Anyone that says it produces powder, must not be using distilled water. It's quiet, and works well at keeping the humidity right where we set it. No leaks, no problems. Great value for the money IMO. Oh, it's easy to refill

MUST HAVE DEMINERALIZATION FILTER--DIDN'T COME WITH PURCHASE
UPDATE: DO NOT PURCHASE I bought this in December, used it 2 weeks before I went to spend the holidays with my children. I started using it Jan 3rd, and today is Feb 3rd. Had to buy distilled water b/c Dreo STILL does not have any filters in stock, so in order to not have white powder on everything, Dreo told me to use distilled water. 3 months later, they STILL do not have the necessary filters!!!! It takes about 4 gal of water to fill properly. This morning, I filled it as usual, turned it back on and got a cup of coffee from the kitchen. I turned around and ALL the water I put in the device was leaking out of the bottom all over the floor. Thank God I didn't place it on my Persian rugs!!! I could NOT lift this device to empty in the sink. I blocked the area with heavy towels to absorb the water. When it got low enough, I could lift it and empty in the sink. All 5 huge towels were soaked with the water. It only took about 5 minutes for this as the water was leaking like a sieve. I called Dreo customer service to get help. To get a replacement, they sent me an email with a LIST instructions that I had to do, in order to GET a replacement. I'm 72 years old and in a wheelchair. You can imagine how DIFFICULT all this was for me to clean up. I don't know how to screen shot and email my receipt from Amazon. Couldn't just take a phone shot and text it to ANYONE. When I explained that I am not tech savvy, the kind customer service gentleman was understanding; but their "rules are rules". I explained I am in a wheelchair and cannot get this device to UPS for a return and I refuse to pay for pickup. I admit I was getting more and more aggravated. I asked him then to just refund my money and I would buy a new humidifier that I KNEW would not leak from another seller. I had a console humidifier for 25 years that had finally died. It NEVER leaked. I would rather have the large console than this sleek tower that leaked!!! AGAIN, I still had to do everything on their list according to their rules AND return it to UPS. I don't know about you but I am NOT going through this. As I read about this product on a Dreo site, these have a history of leaking AND support will give you directions to troubleshoot FIRST before replacing. This old broad is NOT doing this! This was an expensive device but not worth a penny. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE Purchase at your own risk! December 12th: I love this humidifier. I did not realize that the demineralized filter did NOT come with my purchase as it was stated in description. I can't find anywhere to buy that filter. I even went on the DREO site and could not find. If you don't have the filter, you end up with white powder ALL OVER everything. My housekeeper constantly is wiping down cabinets, every black appliance in my kitchen, it even gets on the glass of my windows. It is a MESS. I do have a number for Dreo now so will call them tomorrow to order 12 filters (1 for each month). I'll let you know how they work. If this white powder continues to appear on EVERYTHING, I will toss this expensive product. I believe b/c of where I live it is salt that is what is getting on everything. I'm surprised as I have a filter on my kitchen faucet's cold water AND I filter that water in a water pitcher. So the water I am putting in my humidifier is doubly filterered.

Quiet, Smart & Reliable – A Game-Changer Humidifier for Large Rooms
After trying several humidifiers over the years, the Dreo HM735S Smart Humidifier has easily become a favorite in our home. It's designed for larger spaces (up to 700 sq ft), and it truly delivers — you can feel the difference in air quality within just a few hours of use. The 11L water tank is a huge plus. I only need to refill it every few days, even with regular use. The top-fill design is extremely convenient — no spills, no awkward lifting, just open and pour. It’s very user-friendly. Noise is practically nonexistent. At just 26dB, it's whisper-quiet, making it perfect for bedrooms or a nursery. We use it in our baby’s room, and it never disturbs sleep. Plus, the auto mode does a great job maintaining the ideal humidity without needing to constantly adjust settings. The smart features are the icing on the cake. I love that I can control it through the Dreo app or the included remote. Adjusting mist levels or setting timers from bed or while holding the baby makes life so much easier. The self-cleaning tank feature also gives me peace of mind when it comes to hygiene and maintenance. A few thoughtful touches I really appreciate: The aroma box works beautifully for adding essential oils The RGB ambient light is subtle and calming, great for nighttime use The design is sleek and modern — it doesn’t feel bulky in the room If you need a powerful, low-maintenance, and truly smart humidifier for a larger space, the Dreo HM735S is worth every penny.

A very functional, easy to operate device -- with a couple of minor quirks
If you live in south Florida, you don't need this humidifier -- but its water supply will last longer. As I write this, I'm much farther north and it's wintertime. My usual indoor humidity is 25-28%. With this humidifier operating in Auto mode, set to 40%, it reaches my desired level and maintains it with ease. I just have to fill the water tank every day. (I expect this duration will be longer in the spring, summer, and fall. But that's what it is for now.) The device operates very well without additional filters or cartridges: just use what comes in the box. Demineralization cartridges are available, and it also accepts aromatic oils. You can add them if you want. Over time, it may begin to exude a fine, white dust. This is common with humidifiers in general, due to hard water build up. To eliminate the problem, you can use distilled water exclusively (but see the paragraph above), or buy demineralization cartridges (they're not included). The smart phone app (downloadable at no cost) and remote control (included) work great -- but there's an annoyance with the control panel on the device. It includes a button you can press to turn off the display lights. It's a good feature as the lights are pretty bright: the current humidity reading is large and the water level channel can be illuminated in different colors. But all the lights can be switched off with a single press of a button on the device, on the remote control, or in the app. What's the problem? Switch off the lights from the device and you can no longer see the button to turn them back on. You can do so with the remote or the app -- or fumble around on the device panel until you eventually stumble across the button. How hard would it be to simply imprint a small lightbulb shape onto the plastic panel itself, right on top of that button, so it would be continually visible? For a quick laugh, you may want to look at the photo of the display panel I've included with this review. I can figure out what it's trying to say, but it's very poorly written / translated. Again, an easy thing to do correctly. But: I really like this thing. It's improved my quality of life in a measurable way and has operated for a week or so now without a hitch. The air feels warmer and our noses aren't so dry all the time. Pro tip: I also have a Dreo 6L, model HM713S. It's smaller capacity for a smaller room, but also works well. The water tank on that device can be easily lifted out, using its built-in foldable handle, for refilling. I also use it to refill this 11 liter HM735S; it can do so in less than two fills.

It works. Decent customer service.
We own two of these humidifiers. The first stopped working within the warranty period. Dreo did replace it, but they definitely wanted proof in the way of videos. Fine with me. I was able to provide that. We received a replacement quickly. I've just started the two up again for the dry winter season. They seem to be working well so far. If you live in a home with an open floor plan, you really need a whole home system. This isn't adequate for that. My house is not so open, but we have large rooms, 9 ft ceilings...it's a decent sized home. I've got one running next to me in our living room. It's a 16' x 16' room somewhat open to the kitchen and foyer. This thing doesn't really make much of a difference in the overall humidity level. I am watching the mist coming out, and it kinda just settles in the immediate area--just a few cubic feet around the humdifier. Still, it's better than nothing. We have 2 of these plus one of another brand running all the time during the dry winter months, and it's still really not enough to make it comfortable for me with asthma and Sjogren's Disease. I do think it works well enough for my bedroom at night--especially if I can keep the door closed. What IS great about these is the water capacity. I don't have to constantly replenish the water supply. And they are very quiet. Easy to clean when empty. So 3 stars overall. It works.

Great humidifier
I have only used this humidifier for a few months but so far I love it! Puts out a lot of humidity. I really appreciate the very large water storage tank, and not needing to refill it every day. I like the pull out tray for essential oil. Adds a nice light scent to the room. Runs quietly.

Stylish, quiet, and easy
I was a little hesitant to get an ultrasonic humidifier, given my dark coloured floor and countertops coupled with 200-250 tds tap water, but I couldn't be any happier with this purchase. I haven't noticed any major concerns of white dust collecting anywhere; however, I do use the dreo humidifier scale inhibitor cartridges and an additional 3rd party scale inhibitor pellet that goes into the water tank. This humidfier is incredibly quiet (my fridge runs louder), very stylish, and slim. Removing the top cover and filling from there makes this incredibly easy to refill. The ability to add scented oils via the pad at the back of the tower is a nice touch. While it isn't getting the humidity in my room up to where I want it, I do live in an incredibly dry city, and the increase from 23% to generally hovering around 35% has made a noticeable difference for both my plants and myself (heck of a lot less drying out skin). I would consider getting a second to have full condo coverage.

Looks and works great. Just be careful.
Very happy with this humidifier (so far). The Dreo app is useful and easy to set up. It also works with Alexa, so I can just voice command it on and off, which is great! It can be scheduled too (no more forgetting to turn it off when I leave the room). It’s not getting the room up to ideal humidity levels (45-55%), but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a humidifier that really can do that, so I don’t expect it to. It’s making a noticeable difference anyway, getting my humidity levels to consistently hover about ten percent higher than they were before I started using it. It’s sleek and discreet. Even though it’s a larger unit, it takes up very little floor space. It has two vulnerabilities, as far as I can tell: 1) You can easily ruin it by pouring water into the wrong spot if you don’t read the instructions. So pay attention to that, and make sure everyone who might fill it, knows what to avoid. 2) It’s super stable on its feet, which makes it possible to knock over if you’re the type of person who might bump into things. I keep mine beside a large plant to give it some protection.

Provides a lot of mist
Really happy with this humidifier, it has been a cold winter and this humidifier keep some moisture in the air, I have one connected to the furnace but doesn’t do near the same job as this DREO! Easy to fill from the top and sit nicely in the corner of the family room and provides moisture to the entire floor It has a filter to prevent the white dust which I love! Love it so much I bought a smaller version for the bedrooms

While It Will Raise The Humidity Over Time, Setting The Mist On High Will Create White Dust
I've been very pleased with most of the products I've ordered from DREO in the past, so I did have high expectations for this 11L Smart Humidifier when I ordered it. Overall, it has helped to raise the humidity in my house this past January while trying to battle winter dryness. I will say, don't expect miracles in a day, as it seemed to take the better part of a week to truly make a difference, at least in my home. My humidity rose from 30 to 40 in that time. My biggest piece of advice is not to set it on Auto, nor to let it run on the highest mist setting, as that is simply asking for considerable white dust to be dispersed throughout your home. Granted, I wasn't using distilled water and thought I could avoid that extra cost and/or time by having the DREO demineralization cartridge - but it did not. Sure enough, my hardwood and numerous household items end up with varying degrees of white mineral dust accumulation. So, I set it to the lowest mist setting and over the course of the next week, I noticed probably a 95%+ reduction in white dust. It also wasn't consuming water as fast, which logically made sense. Basically, depending on your HVAC system and air circulation, you'll need to find a balance. In the end, I'm happy with 40-42% humdity and little to no white dust; however, it would have been nice to utilize the auto settings. The 11L capacity is great, it's also easy to fill and clean as required. And it operates relatively quietly, at least on the low mist setting. Still a recommended buy, but with the caveats noted above.

Works great, easy to fill
This unit works well and adds a good amount of humidity to a larger area. We have ours in the living room and it increased the humidity from 28% to 43% in a couple of days. We have it running at the highest speed and only have to fill it once per day. It has been a huge help with keeping the air comfortably breathable!
