Great product, that doesn't last.
Great product, nice software, terrible durability. Bought 4, and all 4 failed within 3-4 months of normal use. All for the same fault; the small clip that is the contact for the battery snapped under normal use. Consequently they failed before the battery was even depleted. Either a design or quality flaw, but unfortunately it means I'll be avoiding Misfit products now.

Simple, fun, easy to use
Simple, easy to use! I love my Misfit Flash. Great for monitoring activities which some of the other fitness bands do not support. Also monitors sleep which is quite interesting. I've had mine for approx 2 months now and although the wrist strap broke, a lovely gent at Misfit kindly sent, not one but two replacements out along with a Misfit notebook! Yes it's simple but being one of the cheapest fitness bands out there you can't grumble. The app for your phone is great and easy to use and I believe they have just released a new app which allows you to control the music on your phone (iphone) with the Flash- I've not tried it yet but the concept sounds good. No problems with battery life. All in all a great little fitness tracker!

cool cheap watch , tracker , and button
pretty cool , looks like a tiny watch with no displayI've used this tracker for 6 months so far , wearing every day. I brought it with the hope that will have support for strava and Cycling , showing data for cadence and other stuff.-From my experience the this tracker is kind of boring , its basically a pedometer which has remote volume controls for your phone ( you can customize the button to limited actions )-The data is not sent real time to the phone, its just stored and synced when the app is opened- the tracker part is OK , the only flaw is that you have to challenge yourself to do more "points" next timecan't measure distances accurate-the strap is comfortable to wear on the arm or ankle but has a design flaw , the device slips out easily if you press to hard on the top . it can be "mcgyverd" with some glue on the sidesapp its good but verry simple , may get better with the updates ,NO support for Strava yet

Don't buy it until they redesign the strap.
The technology itself seems to work well - the tracker seems accurate, it automatically works out periods of sleep without having to be told, it's lightweight, small and inexpensive. But for some reason Misfit are incapable of designing a strap that actually holds the product in place. I found myself constantly having to reposition the Flash every time I pressed the button to get an update on the goals that day, which is unacceptable for a product at any price point, and quickly became annoying. It also makes the clock feature useless as it will happily rotate the device inside the strap, meaning the 12 o'clock position won't be where you left it.A real shame, but it's more irritating than useful in it's current form.

Stylish, comfortable and very motivating.
I've had this a couple of days now and it's fantastic. It's light, comfortable and completely unobtrusive. I love the watch - it took a couple of goes for my brain to rewire to it's way of telling the time but once you've got it, it's very straightforward and I love that I can wear it while sleeping and see how well I slept. For the price, this is a cracking bit of kit and it looks great on and I"m finding it's analysis of my periods of activity and inactivity very motivating. If you want to try and ensure you don't spend the entire day on your backside, I'd thoroughly recommend one of these.Very happy.

Good start followed by sudden death! Disappointing.
I bought this towards the end of January and at first I loved it, even though the Android app is lacking in comparison to its iOS counterpart. I linked it to MyFitnessPal app with no problems, and I liked the points based system of scoring activity levels. I have several chronic health conditions which limit my activity levels, so being able to track exactly how much I was moving and sleeping was great. After a week or so, the strap developed a small crack in the bezel, though it didn't snap all the way through so I was able to continue wearing it 24/7. I didn't have any problems with the water resistance & wore it in the shower daily. Syncing to the app was hit & miss; sometimes working first time, other times requiring multiple attempts and faffing around turning bluetooth on/off & restarting the app. Then today, after less than a month of use, it's suddenly completely dead. Returned for a refund.

Great tracker - rubbish strap!!!!
A bit of a love/hate review. Easy to set up, liked the app, and was getting on great with it until the strap broke. Contacted Misfit and they replaced it no problem - very good service (though replacement took a while to come from USA). New strap broke in the same place within a week - note no extreme sports involved!!! Seems that replacement straps are hard to get - bought a couple but they were only suitable for the "Shine" model. Would be a geat product if they could sort out that strap!! Now looking at other brands.

Very impressive accuracy for runners.
This is a very good product. I've wearing it nonstop for the past 2 months and have nothing but good things to say about it. I love the sleep tracking features and I'm actually surprised by it's accuracy while recording my sleep. I've used it multiple times while swimming and it works great. I've also used it while biking. But hands down the most impressive thing about the Misfit Flash is how accurately it tracks my distance while running. I run on average 5-6 time per week, upwards of 55 miles. While the Misfit app itself doesn't show the specific distance for a particular run (only the total distance for the day), because I have my Misfit synced up with MapMyFitness, I can see the distance for a particular run, and the accuracy is very impressive. The total distance tracked with the misfit is usually within 2% of the distance displayed on the treadmill or the distance on my GPS watch (the misfit always shows a greater distance traveled). Just as a comparison, I've used 3 different GPS watches on the treadmill (Nike+ Sportswatch, Garmin Forerunner 620 and my current Tom Tom Cardio Runner; the Nike+ required a shoe sensor, while the Garmin and Tom Tom used accelerometers to track indoor runs), and the Misfit is BY FAR the most accurate indoors. The Garmin was so far off during indoor use (and you can't manually change the distance after the fact) that I had to return it, and the Tom Tom is better indoors, but still off by 15% (thankfully you can manually change the distance after). My final bit of praise is the battery. It lasts...and lasts. I've been going strong for 2 months with the original battery. My GPS watch has to be charge every 8 hours, which for me is less then a weeks worth of running. There have been times when I've pulled my Tom Tom out of my gym bag...and the battery is dead. Thankfully my Misfit flash is always on my wrist (or when I run, on my waste with the included clip).I will list a few cons because after all no gadget it perfect. First the Flash is inserted into band from the bottom, and it's held in place, sandwiched between the band itself and your wrist. Having said that when I try to press the Flash's button with it on my wrist, it will push out of the band, not so much that it falls out, but enough where it's dislodged and I have to adjust it back into the band. I usually don't press the button because I prefer just using the app to check my progress, but on the occasions when I do press the button, it always dislodges itself (this doesn't happen with the clip, because the clip itself holds the Flash in place. The second, and it's not a problem that I've personally had, but is worth mentioning. A friend of mine bought a Flash at the same time as I did. Her band broke (as is mention in other reviews). So you don't want to abuse the band, because it's a little fragile. Again, mine band has worked flawlessly, but it was worth noting and in no way decreases my opinion of the product. (As a side note, Misfit replaced her broken band quickly and for free.)Long story short: Great product and price. Great for running and sleep tracking. Very good customer service.
