Apple iPhone 16 Plus Silicone Case with MagSafe and Camera Control: Lightweight Phone Case, Wireless Charging Compatible, Smooth Matte Finish; Black

Bought the new iPhone 16e & wanted a case in hand when the phone arrived, so I ordered 1. I was looking for a wallet case & thought I found the perfect 1; Wallet enclosure to fit many cards & the phone case magnetically attached so I could remove it to talk & close it in case to protect in pocket/handbag. Turned out not to have the correct button covers/cutouts so ordered a different case while working on returning 1st case. 2nd case arrived, had correct cutouts but incorrect button cover placement so phone was always “on” & didn’t work properly, cut that 1 up trying to keep my phone covered until a new case arrived so that was not returnable. Now I was desperate & annoyed. Apple sends out mockups of their devices to companies making these cases, unworking version of a new iPhone still has the dimensions needed for case production but apparently the 2 I tried couldn’t get it right. So instead of trying a third case from a random maker I decided to go w/Apple bc I knew it would be correct. It is a beautiful case, feels good in hand, color is a nice matte blue & all the buttons/cutouts are proper. You really can’t go wrong (imo) w/any Apple product but I wanted a case that was functional for my needs not just beautiful, especially for $39. I will live w/this case for a while until I feel like I got my money’s worth from this case & then hopefully the 16e will be out long enough that the cases get made right by someone other than Apple.

The case looks great, it fits absolutely flawlessly and it looks and feels premium. The magnet strength is amazing (I tested it with a Belkin charger/holder/dock in my car), and the case itself doesn’t add much weight to the phone. All the buttons feel perfect when pressing them over the case, and the only downside is that it feels a bit slippery to the touch, but I think it is because it’s new, as I’ve had similar cases before where it became less slippery over time. You can’t go wrong with these Apple cases, they are top-notch. 100% recommend it!

Works great. Fits well. Has good feel to the touch. Helps protect camera lens cover. Would definitely buy again.

I bought this in March 2025. for $24.97 Today, it's $48.74, more than double. Nice case but a small piece of the lip just broke off leaving a small portion of phone edge exposed. The phone was never dropped or abused. I came back to replace it but not for that price.

Case fits perfectly. Expensive but worth it. Good feel and quality.

Nice simple case which has a great feel in your hands and being silicone, it improves your grip. I just wish they made more cases with the ability to add a lanyard.

This is a typically solid product from Apple and it comes with the expected Apple price. It is a little thicker than I expected, but there is little doubt in my mind that it will protect my 16E if I drop it in my usual clumsy way. Very good. So why only the 3-star review? Apple decided not to include MagSafe with the 16E. "MagSafe" is the built-in magnet which allows the phone to be placed accurately on a magnetic charger if you want to charge your phone without a cable. There is a way you can get MagSafe, though. You can buy a case for your 16E which contains the required magnet, and you can then charge your 16E wirelessly with the appropriate charger. But what if you've already got a case that works for you? You can find a wireless charger that comes with a stick-on magnet. Simply stick the magnet on the back of your chosen case, and you too can charge your 16E wirelessly. You can probably see where this is going. I tried to stick my charger's stick-on magnet to the back of my Apple 16E case ... and it won't stick. My Apple case appears to be not only resistant to bangs, drops, and perhaps several other things, but it is definitely glue-resistant. In brief, the stick-on magnet that came with my charger ... doesn't stick on. I merely report my own experience. It may be that there was grease or something else on the back of my Apple case. Perhaps I should have cleaned it with alcohol, but I didn't want to damage it. The stick-on magnet subsequently stuck just fine on the back of another cheap 16E case. To summarize: 1. The iPhone 16E does not come with MagSafe. 2. A stick-on magnet supplied with my magnetic charger would not stick on to my Apple 16E case. Remember, this is my experience: yours may be different. 3. For me at least, it is not possible to have MagSafe charging if I use an Apple case on my 16E. Solution: I am getting a non-Apple 16E case with a built-in magnet.
