is this a sweet smoked paprika? i purchased a similar brand in the past but it specifically said so in the container. this one only has dulce or sweet

Yes, sweet, smoked Paprika. This is my favorite brand by the way as it tastes great and also comes in a container that allows you to shake out the amount you want to use.

How long has this paprika been smoked?

"The peppers are grown in the fields together and then gathered for a two week period of smoking as they lay on a platform over smoldering stumps of cork and holm oak -- the same trees whose acorns are the prime food for ibérico pigs! Then they are hauled over to a small mill. There the best are selected for fine grinding to a powder. They are essentially types of Nora peppers, and the miller makes the three different mixes. Cayenne pepper is what makes the picante peppers spicy."

Does this have security wrapping? How can I tell if it's been used? It just had tape on it.

Good question. That's all mine had too just a strip of scotch tape over the top no real seal of any kind. Return??

Authentic rich Spanish flavour

This stuff is great. I'd been trying and failing to recreate Prawns Pil-Pil from our Spanish Holidays. Someone recommended this stuff and it is spot on. Sweet, smokey and rich in flavour. I've starting using it on just about everything as it is so tasty.
