Ospho 605 Metal Treatment, 32 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)

This product does the job it is intended for. I use a spray bottle that has single stream and spray and I use a paint brush and a rag. It is both a sealer and a primer. It eats rust, just follow simple directions. I have tried other products, but this is my choice. Currently using Ospho on a refurbishment of a 1971 Pontiac GTO. Thank you, OSPHO.

Works great. Make sure to wear gloves, glasses and a mask. This stuff is potent. Removes rust and nose hairs with ease.

Great stuff. If you can't/don't want to get ferrous metal completely clean before painting, this stuff is great. Wait til it is completely dry before painting. I sprayed the underside of lightly rusted old truckbed with Ospho, then sprayed paint over that. It did not warrant disassembly/ sandblasting etc., but I did want to clean it up and protect it. Another great use: rusted decorative iron---get the worst rust off, then coat with this----it will turn mostly black. Spray over that with satin or matte clear spray---makes a nice dark patina look. Also you can even inject/pour this into areas that are not accessible---it will slow down rust in those places. I did this on a old sprinter van, around the windshield trim.

Exceptional value. Perfect packaging size for DIY. Amazing product for rust inhibitor and pre painting.

This was recommended by my research. Doesn’t always work for me. Maybe I am doing something wrong… Tried it on a rusty hitch with some wire scraping and it worked some, but not great. Used it on my plow blade…same result. Used it on a fire pit and that was ok.

Great stuff for removing gun metal blueing, or use brick acid as this is cheaper. Great for pave blocks too.
