MUST Have For Meta Quest 3
Picked this up mainly to stream and record gameplay from my Meta Quest 3, and it works exactly as advertised. The Hagibis USB 3.0 Capture Card is simple, reliable, and super easy to set up — literally plug-and-play with OBS or any standard streaming software. The 1080p at 60fps capture is smooth with no noticeable lag or frame drops. I’ve tested both YUY2 and MJPEG modes, and the quality is excellent — crisp visuals and responsive performance, even during fast motion gameplay. Makes it perfect for streaming VR content, which can be demanding on gear. What really sets it apart for me is the built-in 100W PD passthrough. That means I can power my laptop or device while recording, which is huge when I’m on longer sessions. The USB-A and USB-C compatibility is also a nice touch — works with basically any machine I throw at it.

Works Well for Viewing Blu-Ray Discs, with One Added Step
I purchased this cable with HDMI capture card to see if I could use it to view Blu-Ray (or DVD) movies on my Quest 3 headset. Of course, I can just as easily (more easily, actually) watch the movies on a regular HDTV, but I wanted to see if this was possible, and it does let me view the movies on a virtual screen that is much larger than the 32-inch set in that sits next to my Blu-Ray player. I ran into a few minor glitches in getting this to work, but overall I would say the process was quite painless. First, I installed the Meta Quest HDMI Link app on the headset. Then, I plugged the HDMI end of this cable into the HDMI output jack on the Blu-Ray player, and the USB-C end into the Quest 3 headset's USB-C port. A screen with some settings appeared on the Quest 3's screen after I opened the HDMI link app. It took a few tries before I could check the three boxes that appeared, to enable the HDMI options. The main one to activate was the one for the USB-C connection from this device. Then I inserted a Blu-Ray movie disc into the player and pushed Play. I was then able to hear the sound from the movie that was playing, but the large virtual screen in the Quest 3 headset was black, with no video image. It seemed to me that the likely reason for the blank screen was that the movie had HDCP copy protection, so I set up an HDMI splitter that I had used before (a Mini-Splitter from J-Tech Digital). I plugged the HDMI cable from the Blu-Ray player into the HDMI input jack on the splitter, and plugged the video capture device's HDMI end into Output 1 of the splitter, and the USB-C end into the Quest 3 headset. Then, Presto! The movie's sound and video were both playing just fine in the Quest 3 headset. I could watch the movie on a very large virtual screen.

Works well with Quest 3 but buggy
This works well for pass through and Quest 3. I was able to connect to my PC by using the Quest link app on the headset. My only complaint is that it is a bit buggy. It does not always work well unless you seat it correctly in the USBC port. There are some times that it does not work at all. One small issue I noticed is that the USBC cable has a preferred orientation, if I plug it into my Quest 3 in one direction it works fine, in other directions it does not even though USBC ports are supposed to be agnostic of the plug orientation. That said, when it works it works fairly well with no issues. It allows passthrough (not really pass through as it basically records the video and sends it through the headset) fairly seamlessly. I have used this with my PC, steam deck, iPad, and even an iPhone. Almost anything that has USBC display out via HDMI out will work. The only thing that does not work is the Nintendo Switch, but it is not due to this cable's fault. The Switch needs an active power source to switch into docked display out mode. The Switch's USBC port is not a true HDMI out. You can use a power brick with HDMI out to get it to work on a Switch but it sort of defeats the purpose of handheld VR pass through. Because this is not actually transmitting data but just a recording of the video, it does not take up CPU or GPU resources from the source device. Great cable, wish it was longer though. Display is also limited to 1080p at 60hz. Also wished this had higher resolution, but we that is just nit picking.

DOESNT WORK WITH PS5 TO META QUEST 3 LINK
This product does not work with PS5 to Meta quest 3 link. All I got was a black screen, I did get sound but no image. I thought I got a faulty product, but after receiving my second one. It’s clear that, it’s not cut for the work.

Video capture with Power delivery for Windows, Android, Meta Quest 3, ect.
Works flawless. Tested compatibility. with Windows, Android, and Meta Quest. All worked without any issues. Power delivery charges fast enough to keep you going for long sessions (100watt PD). I bought for Meta Quest 3 for hdmi connection and worked without any connection issues. Although cord is a little short for me and i had to extend it. 4k 60hz worked and I was able to get 1080p 120hz. Picture and sound quality seemed good. Overall durability seems fine.

Perfect for Meta Quest 3 HDMI input
The title says it all. I bought this so that I could plug in HDMI devices to my Meta Quest 3. The is zero noticeable latency. I can’t believe that for about $25, you can buy an HD capture card the size of a stick of gum that works perfectly. What an amazing time to be alive.

Great framerate
Used on pc with vr and switch 2, both for artificial screen, and the framerates are amazing! Before this I bought a cheap one, and the framerates were terribly slow, a few frames per second, on different capture card.. this one's a winner.
