Second time getting this, smells great and works for repelling mosquitoes and calming any bites, in the event that they happen. It’s compact but lasts for a long time

This stuff works fantastically for any pesty bugs. I can walk out in any outdoor situation and not have even a hint of a bug coming near me. (Not even a quick buzz by my ear!) It always feels like that magical brief time when it’s too early to have bugs in Spring, and too late to have bugs later in the fall all the time! When I’m gardening or weeding I do not have to wear my hat with mosquito/gnat netting with this on! I have never used a balm for bug control (usually a spray) so I wondered about how that would go. I just take a little bit and lightly rub together in my hands like an ointment and smooth it over my head, neck areas/body including lightly on my clothing. It does not stain or leave grease marks on clothing. This works so great! I was impressed how little you need for it to be effective! I would say the amount is less than the size of a pencil eraser that I use. It feels like as long as it’s on me, the bugs are repelled so I just have to have a basic hint of it all over, not smeared in every place like icing on a cake. Then the cherry on top is that this scent smells SO pretty, I seriously would wear it as a perfume because I enjoy the scent so much. It’s just beautiful and I don’t have to put up with the gross feeling of standard bug spray anymore where you feel like you just took a gross chemical bath. I really love this natural bug balm! Amazing! Will definitely be using it for years if able! Edit: I have almost every product in this line. We have the outdoor incense sticks (which are HUGE outdoor incense sticks) and holders. (We use that in a screened in porch too.) We use the smaller candles inside and out. They smell wonderful/work fantastic to keep mosquitoes/flies away, and I’m getting hooked on the scent! We use the balm, pump oil, and the spray sometimes in layers. If it’s really hot, I do reapply because it starts to sweat off but layering helps to stop the stuff from wearing off. Love its veteran founded . Happy to support veteran started companies! We LOVE it!

We bought it for our trip to Philippines in November. It is a nice preventive for casual use. Especially with its lovely scent and natural ingredients, I felt safe to use it on my kids every day at dusk when we were outside. It worked fine for a mild preventive. I didn't get bitten where I had it on. However, for mosquito-densed situations where you could already see a bunch flying around, I'd recommend to use a stronger repellent (we also carried Off travel packets with us). Murphy's repellent balm would save us from a few bites, but not all of them. My mosquito-magnet daughter still got bitten a few times. I wouldn't use Off on my kids every day though so this Murphy's repellent still served my purpose for mild prevention. Plus, the balm seems to have a smoothing effect that lessens the itchiness and swelling. I didn't have any bite mark at the end of the trip. Plus, its compact design is perfect for traveling. I'd use Murphy's again.

This stuff smells great! You’ll have a lemon fresh scent that mosquitoes hate. Apply liberally. It’s thick so dig in and grap a goop and start spreading. We visited a mango farm in maui when the humidity was high. The mosquitos were thick, but I stayed bite free. This was a blessing because mosquitos love my blood, it’s a delicacy to them. It’s great to have a natural approach that’s not harsh on my lungs, skin, and the environment. Remember, apply liberally and small like lemons! I will definitely be buying again.

I have tried SO many sprays, balms, wipes, etc. None have compared to this one! My Husband and I went to Cozumel with friends on a cruise. I always worry about mosquito bites because I have CRACK BLOOD to them and they can swarm you. I took another bug repellent with me that has worked before, but also brought this as a back up. We went to see some ancient ruins and it was very muggy that day. The other (Spray) "all natural repellent," FAILED. My friend shouted out, "OMG the mosquitos are swarming you" and then everyone was going OMG. I pulled out the Murphy's mosquito repellent and started applying. Within about a minute to 2 mins they couldn't even find me and starting biting others in our group. LOL. The scent is not over powering at all and even with severe allergies (including eczema) this DOES NOT cause any itching. I even slept all night with it on my skin and still no itching and no tearing up of my skin. This stuff is AMAZING! I never leave my house without it. I take mini's of the repellent with me. You can pop a little bit into the microwave and melt it down to pour into other mini containers. Like: An oval lip balm tube (friends preferred the mini stick method of application) or empty eyeshadow (I prefer this method) for the pocket! The Tin works well for me and the solid makes it so much easier to travel with as you do not have to get it out for TSA pre-checks. The Murphy's bite relief and soothing balm works great too if you happen to get bit. A+ all around on these items.

Honestly a life saver. We just went to Costa Rica and carried this on us, it was easy to apply and reapply. Smells great and I barely got any bites even though we were in some pretty thick jungly places :)
