We used this today for the first time, a two hour trip to the beach. Worked amazing and got lots of compliments. Only complaint was after rinsing with fresh water we noticed the rust, hopefully it continues to work great for our beagle puppy.

The cord itself and the latching mechanism seem durable and well made. The anchor would probably work well for smaller dogs. It didn't take long for my 50lb dog to displace it. The ground was pretty wet when I put it in the ground so it might have more staying power in harder ground.

I use this for my 100lb dog and it works great the cable is good quality and the tie out is heavy steel. lets my dog roam the yard without worry

My son's dog is a larger German Shepherd and she's a bit on the wild side. They take her camping and she likes to roam around. This tie-out cable and stake are very strong and sturdy and keep her within the campground area. She does test her limits but the stake screwed into the ground along with the sturdy cable helped keep her controlled. The stake has a rubber grip on the handle so it was pretty easy to screw into the ground. Both the tie-out cable and stake are made with high quality products and worked great for a larger sized dog.

I ordered this dog tie out because even with a large fenced in yard my pup is turning into an escape artist. I also needed something to keep him in one area while I'm working in another. No matter how many times he tries to tell me he's helping by biting me, or the rake, or shovel or me, it's just not helping with him under my feet. This can be screwed down into the ground and he'll still have a ton of space to roam and handle his business. When my tasks are done it can be stored away for later use or moved to another spot in the yard without issues. The swivel where the cable connects gives him more free movement options too. He hasn't chewed through it yet though it's almost a daily activity for him now.
