It works
Pond was getting really murky and full of weed. Tried all the chemicals and UV lights available....this was the only one that works..so excellent in my view and saved me a fortune.

UV Steriliser Tube
This is a standard UV discharge tube for water sterilisation apparatus. The one supplied to me works well and has been a major contributer to killing off the blanket weed in my garden pond. I'm delighted with the way it works.

UVC lamp
Fits well in my Blagdon filter. Easy to fit and came well packed. Looks to be efficient and the water is clearing fast.Hopefully it willl last most of the season. Much cheaper than my local shop.

It’s a light bulb, it works, my pond cleared
Plugged the thing in to the light socket in my pond I had forgotten to check my old bulb which had blown. The pond became algae free in about 4 days. Don’t forget to clear out the stinky pressure filter as well.

***WARNING****
Product is what it says it is, but this product could be lethal if not properly installed. There isn't sufficient information on the packaging to warn of the effects of arc eye (burning of the eyes) if you look directly at this bulb when lit. I know I was stupid in not reading the box thoroughly but I didn't buy the product, I just received the box after the girlfriend ordered it, opened it and fitted it, just like you do. It was only that after a few hours had past, I felt I had sunburn to my eyes due to looking at this bulb for less than 10 seconds. A night at A&E and lack of sight for 4 days with medical cream in my eyes is as lucky as I got.Please be careful not to look at this bulb when on.Please do not let children anywhere near.

Not sure why but didnt last long, found to be a faulty ballast unit.
Installed but only seems to have lasted a few weeks (tube looked fine). Unknown as to why, if its the fitting or unit its plugged into, but have ordered another to try and determine the cause. Looks like one side burnt out as the other is fine but doesnt now strike the gas inside. Found to be a faulty ballast unit on our UV as blew the new one straight away, so ordering a new UV unit as ballast for our UV is more expensive than a new unit (ours is a Blagdon).
