Done, very effective at removing all smells and any residue not washed away. Leaves the washing machine drum shiney and seems to clean the machine but since I don't have xray vision it's impossible to confirm that it dies what it says. On the surface it appears to work leaving a nice smell. Good luck reading the instructions as you will need a magnifying glass so I hope I'm doing it right. Good value for money. Good delivery time.

We’ve been using this for around a year now every couple of months. We were at the point of buying a new washing machine as clothes just didn’t smell clean. Since using this clothes now smell clean once washed and the washing machine just seems to work a lot better again. It’s really easy to use, just pour it into the powder tray and also into the drum and put the wash on, it’s compatible with all machines as far as I know and for those, like us, with hard water, it helps to maintain the machine. Once finished washing, we leave the door open and the smell is strong to know it’s clean, and the machine air dries quickly. The bottle is small and well designed, I’d imagine it to be as environmentally friendly as possible for a plastic bottle - it is recyclable and doesn’t have much extra/ wasted space! Would recommend

For those who are smell sensitive, yes, it is as bad as you'd expect. While the cleaning cycle was running, the smell was very strong and because the cleaning cycle is long, it felt like forever. Luckily, I decided to do this while it was warm enough to have the windows open so it reduced the smell but it was still powerful even with airing the room. Once the cycle was complete, it smelled very strong so I put it through 3 rinse cycles. I would consider the smell still overpowering at that point with the door open, with it closed, it was still strong. The following wash had only a tiny amount of the lemon smell on it after cleaning and further washes did not have the smell. The washer continued to smell for about 2 weeks, with the scent gradually decreasing over each wash. It did clear in the end. Even with it being so strong, would I use it again? Yes. I would do it yearly and I would wait until I could have the windows open for a few days and do it then. If you have any issues brought on by smell (migraine, etc) would I recommend it? Tough question. The amount of gunk that it dislodged was surprising, especially since I had recently used a different product and run the same cycle. I do believe it has cleaned the washer really well and I'm very happy with the final product. There was also a strange issue with foam. At one point within the first 30 minutes of the cycle, the bubbles escaped through the detergent drawer. I removed the drawer and scooped the bubbles out as the cycle continued for approximately half an hour until the bubbles receded. While It was a pain, it did mean that the cleaning fluid went up the detergent/water pipe and thoroughly covered the dispensing drawer so I feel it was an added bit of cleaning, an undocumented "feature" that I would endure again the future in the name of cleaning.
