I’ve been extremely impressed with this countertop ice maker! It was quick to set up, and within minutes it was producing fresh ice. The ice comes out consistently, and it’s perfect for water bottles, iced coffee, smoothies, and entertaining guests. The machine is surprisingly quiet, compact enough to fit on my countertop, and the sleek design looks great in my kitchen. I also love the self-cleaning feature—it makes maintenance incredibly easy. The app connectivity is a nice bonus, allowing me to monitor and control the machine conveniently from my phone.

This has been a major upgrade from ice trays! When our freezer ice maker broke, we started using ice trays which wasn't a solution that was working well for us. We'd often forget to refill them and it takes a long time for them to freeze. We decided to look for a countertop ice maker and after doing some research this seemed to be the best option in our budget. We've been thrilled with it so far. I have it set on a schedule in the app to make ice twice a day when we need it most. If I have any leftover, I put it in a bin in the freezer. Since the ice is a little on the wet side it does freeze together, but it has been easy to break apart. It is easy to clean and has a large water capacity given it's small countertop size. Bullet ice does melt a little faster due to its shape, but since it quickly makes more this hasn't been a problem for us. The machine is not too loud either. Overall, this is a great ice maker!

I took a chance on this, because I have ice requirements (purely subjective) that I wasn't sure an ice machine would satisfy. I've been buying an 8 lb bag of ice from the local gas station every week or two for the past five or more years! I am happy to say I like this machine. If anything, I have MORE ice than I need. I run it for an hour or two and get a nice supply that lasts for one or two days. Having ice on demand means I have more room in my freezer because I am only storing about 4 lbs at a time. I have settled on the "medium" ice size. There was not much difference between large and medium, and I am not interested in small. The attached picture shows the ice (with tea) in a 26-ounce Yeti Rambler tumbler. I hope that gives an idea of the size. I was concerned about the ice texture - would it be too soft? One review said it was soft, but I disagree. It is a good, solid texture that hardens up even more in the freezer. I tried storing it in a stainless-steel bowl at first but quickly discovered that a plastic bag works best. There is inevitably some extra water that gathers in the ice before you bag it and it can freeze together. When you store in a plastic bag, you can easily break it up with a drop onto the countertop or floor. NOTE: this product freezes the ice, but there is no cooler to keep it from melting. The longer you leave it in the bin, the more it melts. I'll retrieve several times during my ice-making window, so I don't get too much melting or soggy ice. It is not very loud - probably a little louder than a refrigerator due to the fan being on the side, and the ice dropping into the bin. It is not bothersome, and I work about eight feet from it. I am not using the "smart" features. I don't need yet another app. Also, I can always tell the status of the machine since I can see it from my desk. 😊 The instructions are poor, but it is pretty easy to figure out with their help. I recommend this - at least for now. My colleagues have told me the issue they have had with icemakers is that they break down pretty fast. I hope that's not the case, but if I start to have issues, I will definitely update this review.

This ice maker is great. It makes ice quickly. And it has a phone app to turn it on and off. Very useful because we don't have to turn it off and on like another one I purchased, which broke after 9 months.

Over the years I have had two refrigerator that have had problems with their ice makers. It can be very frustrating to purchase something so expensive just to have part of it stop working on you. But I no longer have those issues since I purchased this counter top ice maker. Oh there are cheaper ice makers out there but I am a fan of Govee I have a couple of their air purifiers and a number of their LED lights. This ice maker has some pretty cool bells and whistles that can be tweaked in the Govee app. I have mine set up so when it’s making ice it lights up blue, then when it’s full it lights up red. And can display another color when it’s out of water. Timers can be set up so every day before dinner it will start making ice. Or leave it on all day long and when the ice melts the water get used to make more ice when the level of ice drops. Or my favorite part is telling Alexa to make ice. Very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend.

I don't really like this ice maker that much, wish I had gone with a different one. I know they aren't meant to keep ice but it should melt and keep replenishing. In this machine after being on all night, it won't have enough for my Stanley. The tray doesn't hold much to begin with and the little bit that doesn't melt will be blocking the sensor stopping it from making more. So if you are one of those people that doesn't want to transfer it to the freezer and just wants it to replenish the ice throughout the day, this isn't the machine for you. It does work and it's nice but just doesn't hold enough ice.

I love my Govee ice maker(s). The ability to control via App/WiFi is awesome and reason I have purchased again. I use the iced maker every day from morning to night My last unit worked flawlessly for over a year with daily use (over 12 hours) every time I turned unit off/on via phone. No scheduling. Unfortunately, App recommends cleaning (good) but no instructions for cleaning upper unit where Ice is made. I use a separate additive for the cleaning. I drain sewage after each cleaning. But really doesn’t help figuring out how the upper back of the ice making compartment gets cleaned. You can’t reach it by hand or by brushes. It is clearly seen, but ice making prongs prevent hand cleaning. My older unit developed mold in upper right side ice making corner. I tried to do extra cleaning after discovery, but freaked out I had specs in water container. I trusted the cleaning cycle cleaned everything. I reluctantly looked for a new unit. Govee has the WiFi connectivity down. I saw new unit had scheduling on/off and that was a great improvement. I ordered new Govee unit as a replacement. Initial set up was easy as was prior unit. Govee remembered WiFi so new unit was discovered/connected easily. Schedule setting works perfectly. I love having a schedule for both off/on and for which days. Downsides- 1) Alert sound - When Ice was full, unit had three beeps that sound exactly like my apartment smoke detectors. I initially panicked, but app settings let me turn the sound off. I still like the phone notifications since they are informative but not alarming. 2) My unit works perfectly so far, but I noticed there is a distinctive sound from when ice release starts and ice scooping for dispense that was not present for prior unit. Used prior unit every day and no sounds except scooping mechanism and dropping into holding tray. I am wondering if I have a defective unit, but ice production is fine. 3) Ice Tray - It is now a hollow sided removable plastic unit, which when removed leaves a gap between lid and appliance. (Hollow sided = roughly half inch between outside plastic and connected inside plastic sides.) Rather than an interior removable plastic ice tray, which did not expose the outside of appliance. Not sure why this is an upgraded or desired feature. Old unit seems to have kept produced ice colder, longer. Nothing scientific, just observed. Overall, I lowered star rating to 4 from 5 because of the ice dispensing sound/chirp/trill and the hollow ice tray.

I bought this model after looking at a variety of different sizes and models mainly because of its combination of size and features. After using it a few times I'm very happy with its ergonomics and performance. It just feels like a quality appliance. It makes three different sizes of ice bullets although I've just made the large size. I put the ice in the freezer and one tank of water makes enough ice to last four or five days in our house. I love not having to run to the gas station to buy and lug home bags of ice every week. This ice maker will pay for itself in less than six months. Initial startup was a breeze and it connected quickly and easily to my home WiFi network. I love getting notifications when the machine is full of ice or out of water and being able to see in the app the number of ice cubes made and the weight. It's also much quieter than I thought it would be after reading some reviews. The only negative and it has been mentioned in these reviews is that the ice scooper inside the machine is a bit weak and doesn't push all the ice into the ice tray and fills up on the backside causing a full try alert. But to me that's not important as I just have to empty it a bit sooner so it's no big deal. But highly recommended!

I was really torn between 4 and 5 stars. I’m giving it 5 stars with a benefit of the doubt. This is our first ice maker. I have friends who own them, but that really doesn’t give me enough to make a comparison. I’ve purchased Govee products before and have been pleased every time. I’ll start with the positives: - The wifi compatibility and app is awesome! I can turn this thing on from work to start making ice to have ready for when I get home. That is beyond convenient! - The ice is what you would expect for a small countertop ice maker. It’s not crystal clear, hard ice, but no countertop ice maker makes such ice. That being said, when I fill my insulated water bottle, I’ll still have ice 18 hours later. I always keep it on large size and that’s just perfect. - It is quiet for something that runs off refrigerant. It’s not dead silent by any means, but I’ve heard louder. I have it tucked in on the other side of my fridge and it doesn’t bother us out in the living room. - UGG! COLOURED LIGHTS GOOD! ME LOVE FLASHY COLOURED LIGHTS! In all seriousness, having fully programmable lights is a neat little addition. It even makes a little conversation piece at house parties. Now, for the minor issue. When we received this package the brand box was inside of another larger box. There was minimal damage to the exterior box, but when I removed the original box there was somehow more damage, and in a different location that the minimal damage on the exterior box. Sure enough, when I removed the ice maker from its original box… dents. There was a dent on the bottom by the ventilation and another up on the top on the back, left. I’ve included photos of these dents fresh out the box. It seems as if the original box sustained these damages before being put in the larger box for shipping. If I knew for sure this was the case, then it would have been a 4 or even a 3 star review. However, I can’t confirm when it sustained damage. It also works fine, and although it sucks paying the amount of the cost to receive a damaged product, I’m basing my stars off of the product itself. Not Amazon or the shipping company. Hence, 5 stars. All in all, love it! Worth every penny, especially if you already have Govee products and the app set up.

Love this ice maker however it makes a lot of noise.

Works great, being able to control it from where ever is convenient!! We have it out at our lake lot and it’s nice to arrive to fresh ice!!

Love this ice maker so far. Makes lots of ice and app feature is handy to warn when water is low or time to empty full cube tray.
