Does the actual disk come off?

Yes, the PopGrips are swappable. Collapse the PopGrip fully and turn 90° in any direction. You'll feel a click and this will release the top from the base. To replace the top, place it carefully back into the base and turn another 90°.

Will it fix on to a clear mag safe case ?

Hi Michelle, not sure you meant to fix, but it will fit a Clear Mag Safe case, however, this particular model is no swappable and may not allow you to use the MagSafe technology. Maybe a PopStretch will be better for you. Just make sure you get the correct one for your phone model.

how does it adhere to the device? Glue or Nanosuction cups?

It’s a gel, it’s not a permanent glue you can move it and wash it my has never let me down or fell off

does this attach to carbon fiber cases please ?

To be honest it doesn't attach to much... Not sticky enough so only lasted about a week for me :/
