5 Star Vapor Cord/Cordless Clipper, F32 Fadeout Blade

My wife is a dog groomer, so she gives me home haircuts and these haven't been used in a professional setting. We've always used Wahl products and been happy with them, but I was looking for a nicer set of cordless clippers for her to use. We both love these clippers. The package comes with several shorter guards which is nice. They're a good balance between quiet, powerful, and they're lightweight. The battery lasts for several haircuts on a one charge. The cut is nice, no pulling. I have fine, thin hair so I can't attest to how they work on thick/coarse hair. They work great for trimming my beard as well though. The only thing close to a complaint is that they do tend to get hot! We use blade cooling/lubricating spray to cool them off and lubricate the blades as needed. I wish they came with some type of carry case to keep everything organized, but since it doesn't we just put everything back in the original box after use for storage.

I’m surprised that the rating is only 4.3. Even though it’s a fade clipper, it still de-bulks well and blends seamlessly with precise, sharp lines even when using it over a comb. It operates at a relatively moderate speed, and each cut appears as if smoothly textured with shear. Most importantly, it offers a wide range of freedom in different fading angles. Additionally, it’s significantly lighter than my Gold Magic clipper. After haircuts, my wrist doesn’t hurt as much. Provides definitely crisper result than my Magic clipper. It’s like an all-in-one high-quality clipper. It’s better for skin fading because it cuts shorter than my Magic clipper.

I was a loyal Wahl customer for the first seven years of my career, mainly using the Wahl Seniors and Wahl Magic Clips. But after dealing with several clipper failures—especially terrible battery life, where they barely lasted 6–12 months—I finally switched to Babyliss. Fast forward to April 20, 2025: I was in the market for some new clippers and heard some great things about the Wahl Vapors. Honestly, I absolutely loved them at first. They gave me hope that maybe Wahl was making a comeback! But after about a week of use, the lever started to get loose and slide on its own while I was fading—a big “no-no” in our line of work. Even so, I kept using them because I genuinely liked the cut quality and feel. Then today, I flew out to Vegas to do a house call for a very important client, and the clipper lever completely stopped adjusting the blade. I opened them up to see what was wrong and discovered the entire housing where the lever attaches was completely worn out. Worst of all, there’s no replacement part for it, and since I’m outside the 30-day return window, I’m stuck. What a complete waste of $200. Sadly, this is the second pair of Wahl clippers in a row that hasn’t lasted me longer than four months. Never again. Wahl used to be the gold standard for professionals, but the quality just isn’t there anymore. Smdh.

Hands down the BEST fading clippers. Makes doing a bald fade look flawless, effortlessly. I had to buy a 2nd one bc my original pair started getting loud. Had my receipt and filled out the form on the Wahl website. Sent it back and with in a week, they sent me a brand new pair. Wahl is the best at backing their equipment. They will fix em like new or replace them. Their customer service is wonderful. That is another reason they are the best and the only clippers I have ever used. The Vaper is truly the most amazing pair and they keep putting out more…. I can’t wait to see if they come out with a cordless reflection! That would be the best pair!!!!

Excellent professional hair clipper. Wahl’s quality is noticeable from the first use. The motor is powerful and cuts hair smoothly without pulling, even on thick hair. The blades are sharp and precise, perfect for fades and clean, defined cuts. It’s comfortable to hold, doesn’t vibrate too much, and feels very durable. Great for both professional barbers and home use. It comes with useful accessories and is easy to clean and maintain. Definitely a great investment, highly recommended.

This thing is the real deal. Very powerful, cuts like butter as long as you oil regularly, and has great battery life. All the components are high quality including the adjustment lever. The only time it pulls hair is no guard lever all the way open, but that doesn't last for more than a few seconds. Very ergonomic shape to it as well, easy to hold with a nice rubber design. Only negative is that it does get hot, but that really only affects you when you have no guard on the clipper. Easy 5/5 star and it's high quality has helped me get very good at giving myself a fade weekly.

Had mine just under a year before the motor started making noise and died. It was excellent up until that point though. Only real complaint is longevity and I’ve had much cheaper clippers last longer. Too much money for them to not even last a year

I’ve been wanting a new pair of clippers for a while now but nothing was jumping out at me! I’ve used the Wahl Sterling reflections seniors for the past 20 years(obviously multiple pairs) out of habit and the comfort of how they feel in my hand! Once I received these amazing clippers i couldn’t believe how light and comfortable they are!! There are very powerful and quiet. The battery seems to be lasting a while so far I’ll update later if that changes!!! My only negative is they only give you up to #5 clip and you CAN’T use the plastic ones. Also because of having zero gap and more teeth it is a closer cut!!! So I’ve been using them with the lever down to make sure I’m not cutting anyone too short!!!!
