I bought this for my aunt as a Christmas gift. It came in a cute little homemade style box - like it’s coming from someone’s house rather than a corporation (not sure if that is the case or not, but I just thought the set up was cute).

Easy paytern

I’ve been having a blast making these little blobs in axolotl costumes, and the finished project is adorable. I would consider this kit to be more suitable for an advanced-beginner or intermediate level crocheter, rather than a true beginner who wants to learn to crochet from scratch using this kit. The skill of the on-screen crocheter and the quality of the videos were very good, but the AI voice and lack of written instructions were frustrating and inconvenient; even just a bare-bones PDF would have been a total game-changer. I highly recommend writing down the pattern steps while watching the video, and using those instructions for the next two axolotls. Being able to refer to written instructions, even in my rushed chicken scratch, made the process so much easier and faster the second and third times around. The quality of all the materials in the kit exceeded my expectations, and everything (yarn, hook, safety eyes, stitch markers, etc) was pleasant to work with, there were no issues. The sale price of this kit made the value phenomenal; there’s absolutely no way I could have gotten all of the supplies needed to make three complete axolotl blobs at a craft store for $10 total. Pros: - The yarn is cotton/nylon tube yarn, similar to the popular crochet kit brand, and was enjoyable to work with. There’s more than enough yarn to complete all three axolotl blobs. - Nice quality supplies. - The quality of the videos was very good (full disclosure, I already knew how to crochet, so the speed of the instructor was not an issue for me, but might be for a true beginner). - The pattern is very well-written; I made no adjustments, encountered no errors, and the little creatures turned out perfect. - Fantastic value. Cons: - This project might not be appropriate for a true beginner, in my opinion. - There is no written pattern included - you have to sit through the entire instructional pattern video in order to make this. To be fair, the product page did not promise written instructions (though the box did!), it just never occurred to me that they wouldn’t be included at all! - The video with the project pattern was one solid, hours-long block (only accessible by QR code) without being broken up into sections, or any other way of finding what stage of the project you are looking for. Overall, I loved using this kit and will gladly buy another one if it goes on sale again, to make a few more for my kids. I do think it’s advertised to be easier than it turned out to be in reality.

I recently tried the Gipony Crochet Kit for Beginners featuring the cute axolotl design, and while I absolutely loved the end result, I found the process a bit more technical than I expected. The kit comes with everything you need, including yarn, a crochet hook, and clear instructions. The axolotl itself turned out super cute, and I was thrilled with how it looked once completed. However, I did run into some challenges along the way. The instructions were a bit tricky to follow at times, especially for a beginner like me. I found myself needing to look up YouTube videos to clarify certain stitches and techniques. While this added some extra time to my project, it was helpful to see the techniques in action. Overall, I would give this kit three stars. The final product is adorable and definitely worth the effort, but I wish the instructions were a bit more beginner-friendly. If you're willing to put in the time and maybe watch a few tutorials, you'll end up with a charming axolotl that you can be proud of!

Got this for my niece, she loved this kit.

I am a complete beginner so I think I didn't do too bad lol. I used the video tutorial and that was earlier to follow. The kit came with everything you need to start with. So overall its not quiet for beginners but its doable nonetheless.
