Best Door Water Strip I have ever bought.
I am very happy with my purchase, this thing blocks all the water from coming under my door during a rain storm even with driving wind, This got tested during Hurricane Grace. Pluses: Well built out of good metal and a very impressive wide rubber water stop on the bottom that can slide out and be cleaned or replaced. Installation is easy but remember to coat the inner side of the metal strip that face outside with a bead of silicone or caulk. Water will hit the front of the door and drain down under the front metal lip and rot out your doors bottom if you don't use some kind of sealant. Cutting it to size was easy and can be done with a hacksaw or Dremel. Negatives: Paint coating on the metal can chip easier than I expected. I ended up with two 1/8" chip marks on the outside. I touched them up with black paint. Mine did not come with screws but that was an easy fix as I had some in my tool box. Don't see replacement rubber strips online, I would feel better knowing I could buy them. Summary: Overall very happy with the purchase. It looks good and does it's job very well.

No Thermal Break!
This is a beautiful and well made door weatherstrip with one major flaw in cold climates. First it does a terrific job of keeping air from infiltrating the threshold and it really looks nice. But it's major flaw is that it's a continuous piece of aluminum, therefore when the outside portion is sitting in freezing temperatures, the inside gets very cold too and tends to condensate or even frost over. This has presented a very annoying issue for us during the cold winter months. Otherwise it's a great door weatherstrip.

my package came without screws and was open, but I was not deterred
I had no idea before reading the reviews that this came with screws. Oh well. I have screws. I also knew my old house would likely require me to trim this, I needed to shave off about 1/8" and on the curved lip, another 1/2" on each side of the curve. I have honestly never had a door seal before, I have lived 10+ years with a door that had a 1/4" gap on the bottom and let the wind right in, and the dirt and the hose water. I have an old, wood front door, I don't think it ever had anything on it to seal out the bad weather. I live in Southern CA, so the weather was never bad enough to care about 1/4 " of open air flow and we don't have mice around here. That said, I possess a hack saw, a couple of extra screws, scissors and handyman skills. I also have some nice oil rubbed bronze touch up paint and a few files. I was able to make short work of this project and it fit without any issues. UNBELIEVABLE. For the first time in over 11 years, my front door seals when it is shut, well, except at the top which has another 1/4" of open airflow. I don't really care so much about the top honestly. I can't believe the feel of a new threshold and a new door sweep seal. It looks like I have a real door now, not a rag tag, tired, naked shutter on hinges. I am astonished at the difference it made. I find that the weather strip likes to sneak out, so I put a dab of silicon in the track at the end to effectively act as a stop and let it cure overnight. My house is coming along, one piece at a time. this takes literally no time to install, even with some measuring, cutting, filing, adjusting and searching for appropriate colored screws and touch up paint for a stray saw blade mark and the edges. I think this will keep out dirt much better during the SantaAna winds and that less water will splash inside. I'm not too picky or particular, but this looks very professional and offers a fantastic bang for your buck. $11.00! WOW!

Best for what we needed but had to improvise since no one has 42 inch door.
We have a 42 inch door so we had to cut it off and carve drip lip but it was not really made for our door. Good thing my husband is such a handy man, this was the best for what we needed and works great. Happy they had it so we did not have to put 2 smaller ones together.

Time is telling
This door sweep was installed only 5 short days ago, and it seems to be almost a vacuum-seal type of sweep. I suppose that's what we want, no drafts. The house is old; our door is old and somewhat warped, the frame is old and not quite square, the storm door was removed months ago and the interior door has been exposed to wet weather and humidity all summer as well as the last five days. It may be swollen with dampness. We're hoping that the dry, cold months with a new storm door installed will allow the interior door to be opened more easily (maybe after it dries out a bit.) The rain drip edge on the exterior will help if the screen on the new storm door is left open and rain enters between the doors. This is a bit of an unusual situation to be evaluating this product, but I do think it is a good product for the purpose and for the money. It makes the door look finished, inside and out. Fast forward to January 2013. The effort required to open the door has diminished some maybe due to the cold or repeated us. There is still a very substantial seal. But, the finish on the new threshold is wearing away already due to the sweeping action of the door sweep. We used a finish recommended by a professional career painter, so we don't think it's the fault of the finish. It will require re-finishing in the spring--oh joy! Also, the day after Christmas (we had 22 people here for the day) I noticed dripping condensation all along the metal strip on the INSIDE of the room--so much that it required wiping off. In addition, a small section of the underside ribbing began to pull off and required cutting so as not to continue to rip. My fear is that if this sweep doesn't meet expectations in the long run, we have already cut the door on the bottom and may not find another sweep to accommodate the space. Experience is the best teacher!

Bottom weather strip is too hard, it needs to be softer and more flexible

I like that it looks good, and has flexible rubber. Its working so far, but winter will be the test. The plastic ribbed rubber ones don’t work as the ribs just begin to fall off and you just end up ripping them off. The rubber is replaceable.

Very easy to install. it is metal so need a hacksaw or metal cutting saw to fit properly. I was not convinced it would work for me since i had a water problem coming into my door with heavy winds and rain that would drive directly at the door. Well, I have been proven wrong, it has worked GREAT! No more water inside and keeps the driving rain out completely. This is the first door weather strip to actually work, and I have tried a number of them and spent a lot of money doing so. This door weather strip is fantastic, i highly recommend this.

Tips: - use wire cutters to pinch the metal frame onto the rubber seal insert. See picture attached. - pre-drill the screw holes to help guide the screw, take the extra time because a screw in the wrong place is difficult to fix. - try to cut the metal on the side closest to the door hinges otherwise you may see an ugly cut every time you open the door - where the door meets the frame with hinges, leave some rubber seal protruding out, this helps close any vertical gaps. - uneven floor surfaces mean you will have uneven sweep heights. You will have to adjust the height so make sure the screw location can accommodate vertical movement, if in doubt place the screw in the middle of the hole. - the cut metal is very sharp, recommend filing it smooth so it does not cut your shoes or toes when you open the door I love this product. I replaced the old plastic sweep that the previous home owner used and not only does it work better but it looks better too because it is low profile. The attached thermal image shows the horizontal sweep just below the cross hairs. I am happy with the seal.
