So far, so good
I received this battery in good order, well packaged, and in new condition. It didn't take long to arrive but it was shipped from my home state so it didn't have to travel far. Unboxing it, I found three power cables and a service manual. The manual is not very detailed and the English is sketchy so I'm assuming it was printed using a translation program. When I got it out of the box, read the manual, and turned it on, it had about 60% battery so I charged it on low input (there is a high input and low input). It charged quickly and came to 100%.I tried it to see how long the battery power would last. I gave it a draw of about 120-130 watts of power and it lasted almost 9 hours. Pretty impressive for the first run. When it was out of power, it gave an error code. I turned the unit off, then back on, and then plugged it in and it charged to 100% again without any problems. So far, this seems to be a reasonably good backup power supply. If you're using it for emergencies or for camping, outdoor activities, I think it would be good. However, if you're looking for something to keep you off grid or for everyday use, this is probably too lightweight with not enough KWH to do that.It is much lighter than I thought it would be. It's easy to move around, portable, but the plastic isn't really top quality. I wouldn't expect this to take a hard fall or nocking around too much. I seriously doubt it is water or weather, resistant. I haven't tried to use it as a UPS but the manual does say you can do that. There are two different settings for charging the unit, (high and low). It's a little complicated to change that setting but if you have a lower amp circuit and need to charge the unit without blowing a fuse or tripping a breaker, it can be helpful. It switches the input from about 1200 watts to around 600 watts but it takes longer to charge on lower power. My only gripe is that at low or high input the fan runs while it is charging... always runs while it is charging... the fan on low power charge isn't very strong or loud, but it is there, for two hours or more... so... it can get annoying. At some point I'll try some more features of this unit and add to this review, but for now, I'd say it's a good product and will do what I need.

Excellent Backup Power Station for Emergencies and Camping
This portable power station is an excellent choice for camping, road trips, or any place where electricity is unavailable. It charges in about one hour and provides up to eight hours of reliable power. I have used it to run fans, lights, TVs, and other low-power devices with great results. It is durable, efficient, easy to use, and gives peace of mind during power outages. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable portable power source.

A solid powerful Power Station for the price
This unit packs a powerful punch for the price and is very versatile. The Mega 1 is the smallest and lowest power unit in the series, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a useful power backup or supplement. I ordered one on a friend’s recommendation, and I am happy with my purchase. The case is a sturdy, durable unit, heavy, but not to heavy to lift using the attached handles. Setup is easy, and the included cables are easy to connect. The recommendation is to fully drain the battery before the first full charge to balance the battery management system. I did that, , plugged it in, and it charged quickly. There is even a rapid charging option. I got hooked and bought a separate solar panel, and am able to easily charge in on sunny days using the included cable. The design layout on the front panel is done well providing access to usb, AC and DC port options. The app was a bit clunky, but there have been many updates to it in recent months. You can use the app to monitor and control the station, though you can also use the station totally offline without the app. I would like to see the brightness of the front screen being a little brighter in order to more easily read. Overall, I’m very happy with the Mega 1. I did research, and comparable units are much more expensive. The Mega 1 is now selling for even less than what I paid.

Dead after the first run-down test, will not charge. Updated after excellent support.
Update #2: I have tried some various testing and it is working completely as I expected. I found a great use also for smaller units like this as a buffer for power devices. If you have a large inrush or occasional run device that overloads a circuit when kicking on (think commercial coffee pot or air compressor), put this in between the circuit and the device. Set the charge to a slow rate and it will handle the surge then recharge slowly over the next few minutes. Also, support was genuinely helpful when required at the beginning. I work in the backup power world and would recommend this unit, and have done so, to anyone looking.Update September 14, 2025. When helping my daughter move I found a fatal design flaw. The charge cable is proprietary. I am in Chicago and cannot easily source a replacement charge cable. If we had not found that a very helpful person packing had put it in a box in the U-Haul truck (causing us to unpack some). I am using the unit to temporarily power a chest freezer for the overnight move, I needed the cable a few hours after packing. This causes the review to drop to 3 stars and is something I hope the designers will correct in the future.Update July 27, 2025. They replaced the unit quickly once it was determined to be an issue. The new unit has been test and it works great. I adjusted the review to 4 stars based on the outstanding support. It would have had 5 had I not had to go through the process.Update: June 23, 2025. I messaged support and received emails and a call back within a day or two. They gave me instructions for a test that, due to my own schedule, I just completed. It is suspected that there is a BMS Management issue in the unit, and they have asked me to return it to them. I am anticipating a shipping label to return the unit. They indicated that they would replace the unit once they receive this one. So far support has been outstanding! Issues happen with electronics, I get it. The key is can you get the help you need when you have negative experiences. So far with OUPES they have been proactive to resolve my issues. I will update again once the next step is complete. I increased my rating to 3 stars based on support alone. I hope a replacement will push this to 5 stars!I have had this unit for less than two months. Before I left for a camping trip with it, the first real test was to run it down and recharge it to know how much time it would take on AC and with Eco-Worth 100W panels (2). The unit was discharged and will not turn back on. There has been no response from plugging it in, nothing. There has also been no response from connecting solar panels. At this point, it is an expensive boat anchor.I have submitted a message to their customer support, and I hope they can help me reset this unit so that it works again. I am testing the unit, and the support I received before I can change my review from a 1-star to anything higher. I own a consulting company for much larger systems and wanted to try consumer-grade products. So far, others have been worth the purchase, but this one is a wait-and-see.

Lightweight, fast charge, awesome value when on sale; DO NOT rely on the advertised surge rating
I really like this little power station, especially at the heavily discounted sale price available when I purchased, and the excellent sales service. The sale price on Amazon was considerably higher than the sale price on the Oupes website; I discovered this after my purchase, but when I contacted them they refunded me the difference by the next day. Awesome sales service!Mine purchase was scheduled for delivery in 9 days, but it arrived in 3!Note that this product is NOT RETURNABLE through Amazon. The power station is compact and lightweight, perfect for my camping needs; it delivers enough power to run a small heater, electric blanket, electric hotplate, run lights, charge electronics, etc. However mine did NOT have the advertised surge capacity (details below).Charging speed is excellent: full charge from a wall AC outlet on high setting took <45 minutes (I wasn't standing by when it topped off) and on the battery-friendly slow charge rate took 91 minutes from 0 to 100%. Manufacturer recommended practice is to leave it charging after it reaches 100% until the fans kick off; for me this took another 24 minutes. The manual says do not charge from a non-pure-sine wave source, so if you use a generator, only use an inverter generator. I have not tested solar charging. The only negatives I found are:1. the advertised 4500w surge rating is grossly optimistic; mine consistently trips between 2050-2200w. I've contacted the manufacturer to inquire if this is a defect or just bad advertising; to be honest I didn't expect (or need) that much surge capacity.2. the CleanEnergy bluetooth app is really basic, providing a only couple of simple configuration settings and wireless control, but no info on the state of the cells, temperature, or such.Overall I'm glad I purchased this power station and can't wait to get it into the field. If I figure out why the surge capacity is so low and get it fixed, I'll upgrade the product rating to 5++ stars. Even without the extra surge capacity, if you get one on a deep discount sale it is a 5 star value. I would buy it again.

Reliable Power When You Need It – OUPES Mega 1 Review
Reliable Power When You Need It – OUPES Mega 1 ReviewI purchased the OUPES Mega 1 Portable Power Station last month, and it has already proven to be one of the most reliable and user-friendly power stations I’ve used. With its 2000W continuous output (4500W peak) and 1024Wh LiFePO4 battery, it delivers dependable power for a variety of needs—from home backup during outages to powering devices while camping or using it with an RV.✅ Key Highlights from My Experience:Easy Setup: Right out of the box, the setup was quick and intuitive. The user interface is simple and clear, and getting it running took only a few minutes.Solid Build & Expandable: The unit feels well-built and is expandable up to 5120Wh, which gives peace of mind for longer trips or extended outages.Solar Charging Compatibility: I’ve tested it with solar panels, and the 800W solar input is impressive. It’s compatible with standard MC4 solar connectors, making integration smooth with my existing gear.Fast AC Charging: The 1400W AC input recharges the battery quickly, which is a great feature if you need to top up the unit between uses.⚠️ Minor Issue:The only hiccup I’ve encountered is with the Wi-Fi connectivity via the app. It struggles to connect consistently over Wi-Fi. However, Bluetooth works reliably, so I’ve been able to monitor and control the system effectively using that method.Final Thoughts:Overall, I’m very pleased with the OUPES Mega 1. It offers an excellent balance of power capacity, ease of use, and expandability, making it a smart investment for emergency preparedness and outdoor adventures. If OUPES improves the Wi-Fi functionality in a future firmware or app update, this would be a near-perfect solution for portable energy needs.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a powerful, solar-ready, and user-friendly power station.

Great back up
This portable power station is a real game changer and exactly what I needed when my solar powered cabin system up north would lose sun for a few days in early spring when I’d still get a few snowy days here and there and so I can hook this up to the generator and charge in one hour and everything is back up and running for another 24 hrs at least .. and it helped the system recoup in a few days by using the portable system and charging it once a day for just an hour with the generator.. perfect solution to an area that doesn’t get a lot of sun sometimes in early spring

It draws a lot of power when charging. Use 300 watts solar and it charges fast
Do not use a 2000 watts inverter to charge this via AC. I think I destroyed my 2000 watts kriger inverter using it to charge this power hungry device. 1024 wh÷51.2 vdc = 20AH. It does not last long .

Big bang for your buck
While big names like EcoFlow, Jackery, and Bluetti dominate the portable power station market, OUPES has carved out a distinct niche with the Mega 1. It delivers higher continuous and surge wattage than almost any other unit in its class while keeping the overall size under 30 lbs. What Makes the Mega 1 Stand Out1. Punching Above Its Weight ClassMost 1kWh power stations cap out around 1,500W to 1,800W continuous output. The Mega 1 provides 2,000W continuous output with an impressive 4,500W surge capacity. In real-world testing, it easily starts power-hungry tools, full-size home refrigerators, microwave ovens, and hair dryers without tripping its internal breakers. True testing ran a coffee maker and a Bodega on the the 12 volt side easily on a charge for the weekend.2. Smart Port LayoutInstead of stuffing every port on the front face, OUPES placed four 120V AC outlets on the front with generous spacing between them (no fighting over bulky plugs) and moved the AC/DC charging inputs to the side panel. You also get twin 100W USB-C PD ports, multiple USB-A ports, and standard 12V DC outputs. 3. Modular StorageIf 1,024Wh isn't enough capacity for an extended grid outage or multi-day trip, the Mega 1 isn't a dead end. You can daisy-chain up to two external OUPES B2 batteries (2,048Wh each), transforming this sub-30 lb portable box into a massive 5.1kWh emergency setup. The Trade-offs & Minor WeaknessesSharp Handle Design: While the molded dual handles make it easy to carry, the plastic edges can feel pointy and uncomfortable during extended carries. Fan Noise During High Draw: Under heavy loads or fast AC charging, the cooling fans kick on quite aggressively. It isn't a dealbreaker for garage or outdoor use, but it can be loud in a quiet tent or bedroom. The Bottom Line: If you want maximum peak output for high-draw appliances in a lightweight, budget-friendly package the OUPES Mega 1 delivers some of the best power-per-dollar performance in the 1kWh tier.

OUPES Mega 1 - excellent value for the price
Well... this unit has done nothing but IMPRESS. It's significantly lower priced than other machines of similar output, it has more outlets, and it recharges VERY fast - 35 minutes is what mine takes to charge from 0 to 100%. I recommend this machine, it's simple to use, it has alot of power and it's a serious competitor.
