BEST caffeine supplement among all I've tested (see below)
This is by far the best caffeine supplement among all I've tested, and the product I regularly use. (Please see summary below.)Regarding the taste: Caffeine by itself has a bitter taste, so I have not yet found any high-dosage (50-100mg) caffeine mints, gum, or strips (think breath strips) that taste very good. You can try the 7mg energy mints available on amazon if you are very sensitive to caffeine, but I wanted a higher caffeine dosage. If you are very sensitive to the taste, then coffee, tea, and caffeine pills are good high-dosage alternatives but you are giving up some benefits of these mints with each of those.I love these Peak Energy mints. They get me into productive work mode AND it is very hard to get over-stimulated into anxiety mode. That is not the case with other forms of caffeine, in my experience, where it is much easier to "overdose." The Peak Energy mints work fast, but it also a smoother and more sustained effect curve. This also not the case with most other caffeine forms that go up fast and then down fast, like a stock market bubble.I have not experienced any adverse side-effects like headaches from these, but people's bodies, diets, and supplements/medications are different so your mileage may vary. You just have to test it for yourself, but $5 for one pack is a dirt-cheap test. Here are the caffeine supplements I have personally tested:Energy Drinks (Brand: Xyience): ~150mg caffeine per can, very powerful but loses potency over time, sugar-free but full of weird chemicals that make my body feel messed up. I only consume this if extremely sleep-deprived because it can very easily push me into anxiety mode.Caffeine Gum (Brand: Military Energy Gum): ~100mg caffeine per piece, fast-acting, very convenient and portable, downside is chemicals and artificial sweeteners including aspartame, and not great tasting.Caffeine Pills (Brand: Smart Caffeine): ~100mg per pill, convenient and portable, brand-added 200mg of L-Theanine mitigates the caffeine crash, not as noticeable of an effect but it works and no crash.Caffeine Tongue Strips (Brand: Sheets): ~50mg caffeine per piece dissolved under tongue, very convenient and portable, fastest-acting of all, not great-tasting but time-in-mouth is shorter than gum or mints, has weird chemicals and artificial sweeteners, good occasionally for pre-workout if lacking energy.Coffee (Brand: Tom's, and many others): ~100mg caffeine per cup, natural with no chemical sweeteners, can yellow teeth, best if sleep-deprived, can be too powerful if rested, requires some time investment to brew, acidic nature can cause stomach or indigestion issues -- especially when combined with anxiety and intermittent fasting (which I do daily).Tea (Brand: Yogi, and many others): ~50mg caffeine per cup, natural with no chemical sweeteners, easier to self-regulate caffeine level and stay out of anxiety mode, can yellow teeth, requires some time investment to brew. I recommend one of those fast-heating electric tea kettles if you go this route.Transdermal Energy Spray (Brand: Sprayable Energy): ~3 mg caffeine per spray, produce a noticeable effect but it just felt strange to be spraying caffeine on my neck like it was sunblock spray. Also made make look again at that ingredient list for the sunblock!Energy Mints (Peak Energy Mints): ~100mg per piece, convenient and portable, fast-acting, brand-added 500mg of d-ribose prevents jitters and caffeine crash, sustained smooth energy and hard to "overdose," includes some b-vitamins but not herbal extracts like ginseng, not great tasting, not truly sugar-free because d-ribose is a sugar but it only has 1g of sugar total, and -- importantly to me -- no aspartame. This list is by no means comprehensive, but I put some time into testing these options and I wanted to share my results to possibly save you some time. And the best thing I have tested so far, for my needs, is these Peak Energy mints.

Is there REALLY only Caffeine in these things?!?! :-)
I've had other caffeine mints in the past (and gum, energy drinks, lip balm, ya-da, ya-da). But when I took these mints I swear I felt drugged. I was oddly alert and relaxed at the same time - it was fantastic! From what I read, that is how this caffeine/D-Ribose combination is supposed to work. I've never had D-Ribose before so I presume that is the difference. Having a chronic illness that causes frequent deep fatigue, it's a rare day that I feel relaxed and alert - so this was a great treat. So on those days I need an extra "umph", this really seems to provide a nice level boost for several hours. As far as taste, I'm not a huge peppermint fan and these were not overwhelming. I thought they were not bad tasting for caffeine mints - way better than most I've tried. Also of importance to me - customer service was great and they sent free samples (maybe I'm too easy to please but that made my day). They were certainly worth a try for me and i just placed in order for more. I've also now been turned onto the benefits of D-Ribose which I hope to find additional sources of to hopefully further assist my health!

Absolutely amazing mints. I work two full time jobs and I'm very tired for most of my days. these mInts give me the energy and power to get a good workout at the gym. coffee and energy drinks are very inconvenient.do not take more than one or you will feel like you are on speed. also do not Chew on the mints or it will be in effective. let it dissolve slowly on your tongue.,I am so happy I found these mints

5 stars for the energy boost, 1 star for ...
5 stars for the energy boost, 1 star for the taste - so it averages out to 3 stars for me. I have to choke these down, but they wake me up without making me jittery.

So disappointed
Gives me a headache within 10 minutes. I didnt feel any more energetic. I took 1 tab and waited 45 minutes. All i got was a headache. Took 2nd tab and waited an hr and a half! Still nothing but a big fat headache. 3rd pill and still a headache. This product is a disappointment. Maybe i am not as sensitive to caffeine as some people? I still have 5 more tabs so i will try them again and see if they work.

Not bad tasting, and definitely helps wake me up for my early morning shifts.

aweful taste
these taste absolutely terrible. i would recommend instead walmart's "Great Value Energy Drink Mix". it has the same caffeine (100mg), and actually tastes good. if you must have something compact, then you would be better off with "Stay Alert Chewing Gum" or just plain old caffeine pills.

HORRID
Made me vomit during my soccer game, and the taste is awful. Don't waste you're money.
