I am a watch guy and have collected watches for many years. When my vision started to significantly decline a few years ago and I was no longer able to see the faces of my favorite watches very clearly, I decided to try talking watches. I bought a couple that worked well but didn't look that great. I tried this watch because of the larger diameter case, hoping it would look good and function well. I am very pleased with the watch. First, it looks very much like a more expensive pilot's style watch. It's very legible face with bold hands and numerals gives it a very upscale appearance. As a "normal" watch, it just looks right. Add in the talking and atomic time features and it becomes a great timepiece. I live on the East coast, far from the Colorado radio tower, and it updates reliably when place overnight near a West facing window. The voice function works fine as well. The included expansion band is rather unattractive and too big for my small wrist. The first thing I did was replace this band with a black leather band and the watch now fits properly and looks great. I understand many visually impaired folks need an easy on and off band and the standard band is fine but for me, changing the band dramatically improved the watch's appearance. Either way, this is the nicest talking watch I have. The face diameter may be too large for some but I like the look of larger watches and it is definitely easier for me to see. I recommend it.

My husband gas macular degeneration in both eyes. He can’t read or see tv. I bought this watch to help him. He can barely make out the time but it tells him anyway. The first one got hit hard and we couldn’t find all the pieces. I had to buy another one right away as he really depended on it. Very very pleased with this product and it was delivered very fast.

Watch face is too large for my husband’s wrist and the button to press for ‘time’ was stuck. So I returned the watch.

The watch that I bought didn't tell accurate time when I used the voice feature. Also, I don't think that it told good time even with the regular hands. I followed the instructions but I had to return it. For some reason, Amazon is sending me a replacement even though I wanted to return it. I will see if the replacement one works any better. I did also purchase a white background talking automatic watch that works great. It was about the same price but I'm not sure if it's by the same manufacturer. If you need an everyday automatic watch that you don't need to worry about scratching and stuff like that, I recommend the $32 Casio automatic watch which I never need to touch unless I want to see the date. It's a great value although it doesn't talk. I hope the talking replacement watch works better than the original. I received the replacement watch and it works much better. However, to hear the time, day and date, my watch only uses the S1 button. The S2 button doesn't seem to do much but I believe it's supposed to give calendar information. It's still an interesting conversation piece and fun to have the watch talk at a social event. I bought a similar watch with a white background that has worked perfectly but I think it's by another manufacturer. I would be interested in knowing what the problem has been with my 2 Five Senses watches. I plan to keep the second one as it keeps good time and it does provide talking information, just not with the S2 button.

I purchased this watch for a blind elderly family friend (91). It looks good, but that is it!!!! does not work AT ALL! I took it to a jeweler to set it and he could not, said it was defective. It came with nothing, no invoice, no instruction manual, nothing, just a watch in a cardboard box. I could not get it set for the talking feature and it wouldn't even work as just a regular watch. I would set it and go back an hour later and the time had jumped ahead 2 or more hours. I would not advise anyone to purchase this watch. Pay close attention to the bad reviews, they are there for a reason...I wish I had done that!

I purchased this brand before for my father-in-law. Unfortunately, he dropped it. He asked me to order another one. This time I found a jumbo Size. It was a perfect fit. He loved that it talks. This Atomic watch Is easy to set. Great for the visually impaired.

Well, I would like to give this product high marks since it worked great but after 6 months the battery needed to be replace as the whole watch stopped working. So, the battery that was included in the box was placed in the watch and the time seemed to be able to reset BUT the audio no longer worked! So, without audio this watch is pointless. I wrote the company via e-mail since they offer NO PHONE NUMBER for contact information...NO response yet. I can only assume they will either replace or repair this watch with the ? 2 year warranty? Pretty disappointed with the lack of customer service response. AT LEAST tell me you received my inquiry!! Not sure I would recommend this company...NOT a happy customer. I hope I can update this review with a positive outcome.

Very easy to set the watch when it arrived. Big numbers make it very easy to read. One button to hear the time and the date is wonderful. The instructions were a little too small for an older person to read. Would prefer an American voice to a British voice. But overall I love my new watch.
